We had lots of Baltimore Orioles earlier, but not many in late June/early July. Instead, we have Flickers and a Pileated Woodpecker. The feeder can be tipsy when handling and flips upside down. Stable when in place.

I have tried several variations of Oriole feeders over the years and this one seemed to have real promise. I’d read the reviews and some folks didn’t seem to have issues, but others mentioned that it tended to leak at the the stir rod at the bottom. Another mentioned that they had added a bit of chain or wire to help stabilize it better. I bought one and immediately liked the design. You could put a whole jar of jelly on it and that was a plus. And I added some wire to help keep it balanced in the wind as suggested. Design worked well, but then it did leak out the bottom. Took it in and plugged the bottom with silicon caulk. Instead I just stirred the jelly well before attaching it to the feeder. This helped but then the sides of the base were so shallow that it was too easy for jelly to overflow if it tilted just a little. Made it pretty messy bringing it in in the evenings. Think if the sides were just a tad higher and the openings on the bottom closed off, this could be a pretty good feeder. As it is, I ended up pulling it and putting up a very basic open container feeder I could hang. Plus put some jelly in a two bowl style cat food feeder for the porch rail. Had 7 Baltimore Orioles fighting over it straight away.

Great feeder. Works good. You do have to crank the jelly out with the crank on bottom but that’s not a big deal. Jelly doesn’t come out on its own. I feel a bit over priced considering it’s all plastic but I am still happy I bought it. Orioles love it

I had the glass container which held about 45 cc of jelly and all the birds were eating it. The jelly needed to be replaced 3 times a day. I hung this new feeder out with a full jar of jelly. As soon as I was in the house the orioles went for it. They still line up waiting for their turn at the feeder. Day 2 the female orioles have figured out more than one of them can be on the feeder at the same time. The males are still fighting each other for a spot on the feeder. I love this product! Well made. Good price. Fast delivery.

This is a great idea; and I’ll keep it. But, its very flimsy; so, I don’t expect it to last all season. Because of the poor quality; its not worth the price. But, the concept is awesome. Just wish they would have been made more substantial.

The Orioles love grape jelly and this is the only oriole feeder that you can just screw the jar onto the top. It works fantastic this is the third one I’ve had although this is the only one I purchased at Amazon and paid twice as much as I did for the other two.
