Our puppy loves these chew rings. We use them frequently to redirect him from chewing on our hands. I rated 4 stars because I noticed today that the green plastic ring is broken already. Pup must have chewed through it. Still a great chew toy for a new puppy!

I have two little dogs in the house this is their favorite toy. I do cut them into thirds because my dogs are small and they just love the little knobs that they can chew on, they are soft but very durable

This is a very nice size dog toy. its great for my Dogs teeth and it helps my dog not chew my stuff no more! my dog is distracted chewing on the toy. I also love my with my dog with the dog toy too. I love the dog toy! Great price and well worth the money for me.

I do not recommend this toy unless you are okay with taking the rope part off. My puppy chewed through it enough to start the unraveling process. I took the rope part off and kept the other tow rings. At first she payed it no mind but now she loves them. Some advice concerning toys for puppies. I purchased lots of toys for my pup. Some were too hard for her to chew so I put those aside. Others she chewed through quickly and I had to throw those away. Then I learned all toys need to be inspected daily for wear or puppy could ingest parts and develop a blockage or make digestion harder causing pain. Read all reviews and know that a lot of toys need absolute supervision. Don’t get a puppy unless you are willing to spend lots of time and attention to it! We have a very strong chewer as as she is a Blue Heeler mix. We are about to begin the process of rehoming her as we rescued her from a neglectful owner and we have too many limitations to keep her in the long run. Enjoy!

My pet stole the bone and I can;t find it but she is chewing as I am able to hear. She loves it. It;s enough flexible and useful to clean her teeth ๐ Recommend!

Super jouet pour chien qui permet de faire les dents tout en sโamusant. Le jouet ne sโeffrite pas du tout! Je recommande !

Update 1/6/16 – I have requested that Amazon change the misleading photo, they said they would (last year) – just wanted to make note that at the time of this update, this is still NOT the bone you will receive. A picture of the new style can be found here (if it works) http://www.amazon.com/PetStages-Mini-Orka-Bone-Dog/dp/B006P46JPK/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1452136332&sr=8-8&keywords=mini+orka
Update 2/12/15 – Sadly Orka has recently changed the design of this product so it is much thicker and tougher. The different textures on the thinner edges of the bones, that Baxter liked so much, are now focused on the middle (much thicker part) where he did not chew even on the older version. He won’t even touch this bone. This was his favorite toy, we are so sad that it has been changed.
Original review: (5 stars)
This was one of my dog’s first toys as a puppy. It is one of the only toys that he has never gotten tired of. He is an avid chewer, but not a really strong chewer, so it is perfect for him for hours at a time.
Description:
It is a fairly soft, flexible rubber type of material. Each part of the bone has a different raised texture to it. There are three tassels made of colorful canvas. Each is sewn down the center and tied in a fairly loose knot through a hole in one end of the bone.
Pros:
-It is very chewy for him because it is so flexible, but still makes him feel like he can get a good grip with his teeth. Some of the other rubber type bones we have tried, his teeth just squeak/slide right off and he doesn’t like even trying to chew on them.
-For a 7 lb dog, this is the perfect size and weight for him. He can carry it around and flip it up to hold between his paws and comfortably chew on it in a laying down position.
-We have had each last for several months of regular chewing.
-He actually likes to chew and suck on (particularly when he was teething) the canvas ties.
Cons:
-They can chew pieces of the bone off and possibly swallow them. My boy always spits the pieces out and once I see that he is chewing it apart, it goes in the trash. Because of how soft it is, I do not think it would cause a problem, but it *could*.
-He can chew the canvas ties apart and/or untie them and has swallowed a couple. He mostly chewed them up when he was teething and now that he is not, he never pays any attention to the ties on the bone except to use them to carry around. But when he was a puppy, I started untying them so he wouldn’t chew them apart or off and eat them.
-The dye used on the canvas will fade as they are chewing on it.

Our pet’s love this durable chew toy. It does wear out with our strong chewers quite regularly but frequently holds up for a few weeks if they only use it to chew free treats placed in the end. When it does split it tends to hold together and not fragment, so we have a chance to take it away before they ingest any. Both of our dogs are very large (150+ pounds) so smaller breeds would probably find this holds up even better. I rated it 4 stars on chew proof as it does split eventually but honestly there are few toys like this that hold up as well and I have been buying this brand for several years now.

This toy has its flaws, but it’s perfect for my dog! We love “blue bone” around here!
It gets kind of gross after a few months of shoving small treats into its holes, but I am in the habit of just replacing it regularly. My small 2 year old chihuahua mix loves trying to get treats out of this toy and often just nibbles at it to taste the treats he inadvertently shoved deeper inside the bone. He has a small mouth and teeth, so it takes him a while to destroy it… it does eventually tear at the openings over time.
The openings are small, so you’ll need small treats for these. I’ve found that this toy works great with small soft training treats like Zuke’s or Bixbi, as my dog can lick them out slowly instead of trying to remove hard treats. My dog is a “strong” chewer, but not a “power” chewer.. I doubt this would hold up to a larger dog with a stronger jaw, but it’s perfect for a small dog and puppies.
When the openings start to tear I just order another. I don’t expect these to last forever.
Again, it gets gross after enough treat residue is shoved so deep into it that my dog can’t get it out, but whatever. It’s the perfect little treat toy when I want to reward him and keep him occupied for about 10 minutes at the same time.
“Blue bone” forever!
