I received my order in a very fast time from Date of purchase. I have in the past bought other cages but have to say that this ranks as a great purchase indeed. Well constructed easy to assemble in a very short time, when co nstructed proved to be an very sturdy. As a result I have ordered another one and mentioned my satisfaction and recommended this particular to by bird keeping friends.

This was the absolute perfect cage for my pair of finches and offered me a complete setup for a great price. It is easy to clean. It has a large main door that slides up and tips out to hold itself open. The pan that pulls out under the wire cage floor is large; it fits U-Haul packing papers nearly perfectly-I only have to make one fold. The spring loaded side door makes placing the perches, or removing them for cleaning, easy. The cage offers spaciousness for plenty of flight and activity. The water/food dishes are large and stay in place well. My birds bathe in the deep water dish (yes, they are large enough for a finch to bathe in)so I have no need to purchase a separate bird bath for them. I often find both birds cuddling together in the food dish (they are sooo roomy). The cage also has two carrying handles on the sides, which I find useful when I have to move it to vacuum. I’m exceptionally pleased with this cage!
Update 12/15/2013: This cage has held up great. I’m still so happy I bought it. My eight pound cat likes to lay on top of it to watch the birds. I didn’t think it would be able to withstand that type of abuse, but surprisingly it has! And my finches still seem happy, too! 🙂

Great purchase, easy to assemble, easy to carry, it’s more spacious than expected. My babies seem happier with all the extra space. Plenty of room for exercise and flight. It’s lightweight but holds all my natural limbs and accessories. Tray is easy to use. It’s beautiful. Several doors to access, they slide and tilt. Nesting door included ! Happy !!

I bought this cage for two budgies that I acquired from someone who had been keeping them in a travel cage (I was REALLY mad about that). The cage is spacious enough for them to both move around in, while still having a variety of natural perches and toys.
PROS:
Size – A really good size for the price – good for two budgies, maybe two cockatiels or lovebirds. Length is long enough that they can get away from each other if need be.
Wire spacing – Wide enough that my birds’ feet can grip onto the sides to move around, but still narrow enough that they won’t get hurt or get themselves in trouble.
Four doors – Like a nice sedan, it has four doors for easy bird access.
Included dishes – clear so discoloration is not as likely as with colored dishes
Tray – The tray is sturdier than the cage itself and is a good depth to keep all manner of birdie messes inside.
CONS:
Construction – Really flimsy for a $50 cage! I haven’t noticed this problem with other Prevue cages, but the cage doesn’t hold its shape well and the bars bend really easily. It also tends to collapse under its own weight, and even more so with toys attached, so I have to lift up on the top of the cage to get the tray out and in. There isn’t a sturdy plastic base on the cage, so this cage is a lot messier than the cages I have for my other birds.
Food/water door location – They’re really close to the ground! This limits where I can put perches; I can’t but the perches very close to the front of the cage or the birds will poop into their own dishes (not that they don’t already do that).
Doors – I know I said this was a plus, but they’re guillotine-style doors. This could be dangerous for little birdies if I decide to leave open the door. And speaking of leaving the door open, it’s always frustrated me that I have to find my own solution for leaving the doors open instead of providing a hook or other mechanism to hang the door on. (I’m using a clip from a destroyed toy currently.)
In sum, I would probably buy this cage again purely for the size of it. It has a nice flat roof and is very roomy inside. I expected a little better after reading the reviews, but I got what I paid for.
UPDATE 1/15/16:
The 2 budgies that lived together in this cage had a falling-out and now live in two separate cages. However! This is still a great size for one budgie on her own.
I’ve also traveled twice with this cage now, and it is very easy to assemble and reassemble, so I’ve added a star. This, for me, makes up for the flimsiness.

Ever wonder why cage manufacturers make bird cages high instead of wide????? I do! The only thing that I see that flies up and down is a helicopter!
I was helping my mom getting everything she need in order to house a new canary. I insisted that she get a flight cage for her bird instead so that her canary can have exercise and lots of room for movement. This cage does not disappoint! It is absolutely huge for the bird and the little guy does love it – he is all over the place in the cage getting good exercise and wing use, which are important for a healthy bird! I saw some reviews where people complained about the strength of the cage all I can say is that the cage is perfect for a canary, finch, budgie types of birds…. a larger and strong bird like a medium to large parrot could definitely bend the bars, but it isn’t a parrot cage. I am assuming too if you dropped something heavy on the cage the bars would bend, but then again, it is only made to house a small bird!!!!
I would love to see Prevue come out with a stand for this cage because not all people have the table top space for this cage.
I would recommend this cage for anyone who is looking at getting a small bird! Good job Prevue!!!!!!!!

I was able to assemble this cage in 2 minutes max. The cage is very spacious and there are 3 smaller doors with one big door to add things to the cage. There is also a side door.
My budgie is very happy in his new cage and I can’t wait to add toys and more perches.

Very spacious for my two parakeets.
Love the big slide door on the front for better access and for them to freely come in and out as they please also love that it has 5 access doors the four on the front and the side door as well….. I did remove the dowel perches as they are no good to bird/parrot foot health….just added all my own perches with no problem at all
