The media could not be loaded.
The lid is very loose and hooks WILL get mixed up. Easily an ⅛-¼” gap between lid and compartments. Probably good for large beads, but since I don’t do beads, I’ll likely give it away. It’s not defective, just bad design. Plano makes great boxes. This is the only one that is a complete fail for tackle. The gap is large enough for split shot to move around. So, your #2-6 hooks are going to get all mixed up and frustrate your next fishing trip.

Wife needed a replacement sewing box and this fit the bill. Roomy and well divided. Only issue is the quality of the hinges. Seem a little sloppy.

It was just what I wanted, unfortunately the delivery driver accidentally dropped it in my parking lot and cause a hairline crack in lid. It didn’t have any paddling in the envelope it came in. I put some rubber cement on it so I’m hoping that stops it from breaking all the way through.

I read a TON of reviews from people on here before buying this box, and thought…… for as cheap as it is, I will give it a shot. I carry a backpack will fishing, I keep mainly, ponchos, camping/survival gear, food/drinks, personal protection… etc…. in it and usually carry a tackle bag with me. I thought this year, why not try to get something small enough, yet large enough to carry crank baits, and slide it in my backpack, so I reduce my load to one bag. This box will work perfect for that, yet it does not have a lot of room in it. I fish mainly live bait anyways, but do have some bass, and crappie baits in there. You can fit 2-3 small/medium size crank baits into the longer slots, if you stack them correctly. As far as keeping hooks and small sinkers in there, I would recommend keeping them in there bags. The top fits so loose, I can promise they will slide out and end up in different spots. As far as the latches go….. VERY poor design. I am going to hope and pray this bad boy doesn’t come open in my bag. The latches are just a small piece of plastic that fits over a small lip, there is no actual latch, or snap. I may buy some long Velcro and wrap it around the box, or glue it to where I know the tops don’t accidently pop open.
All in all, if your looking for something small to keep or your boat or put in your bag like a plan on doing….. You may want to try the plano watertight boxes. I was going to go that route, but thought I would give this little box a try. I cant fully review it, because I just received it, but first impression….. not built to last, and they could have easily earned another star… maybe two, simply by placing an actual latch on the box, and making sure lid seals tight. Hope this help.

A great box but I finally outgrew this one and had to go to a bigger unit.
Stuff stays in place even if the box is shaken or dropped.
Built good and sturdy.
I gave it to a boy at the dock and he was thrilled.
Soon, he might pass it along when he outgrows the size.

It’s actually a great size. Was going to use for my jewelry findings but when you flip it to the other side everything goes everywhere and gets all mixed up. So doesn’t work for small items fyi.

Item was showing signs of having already been used, case scratched and individually compartments had marks that look like it had been used to store lures already. Aside from this the quality of the moulding is very poor, the sides of the compartments are distorted and the edges of the lids and sides are very rough. Normal Plano stuff is quite good – this is so poor it could be counterfeit or certainly a second
