I hated the first PSVR headset with a passion. It was the biggest waste of money Iโve ever experienced; In my 3 years of owning it, I maybe used it 10 times bc of how much of a hassle it was to set up and the lackluster gaming experience. I mean it when I say the PSVR2 is light years ahead of the first one. Almost every problem I had was not only addressed, but completely solved. There is 1 cable, thatโs it. No more multiple HDMI cables and a whole separate module to run the headset. Just 1 usb c that plugs into the front of your PS5. That alone is worth the price of admission. The controllers are far superior, more similar to VR controllers for PC platforms than the Wii remote rip off from the first one. A built in headset, so you donโt have to plug in your old earbuds and have them constantly ripped out of your ears. The ease of use is the best part about this. It takes maybe 45 seconds to set up, disregarding the play area scanning, that can take a little while if your room is a little wonky and doesnโt have a square area you can scan. Iโve played a few games so far, with the Horizon game being the best in my opinion. Itโs awesome shooting a bow and actually having to pull the arrow back and reach over your shoulder to grab another one. Itโs immersive as all hell and I love it. You have to play No Manโs Sky as well, the flying is quite possibly the coolest gaming experience Iโve ever had. Actually being able to control the throttle and joystick is insane. I do wish Sony would back some more games for this headset, as the lineup is a little weak, especially compared to what is available on other VR platforms. But the big titles that are here are solid and will be enough to justify this very expensive purchase in my opinion. My only issues with the headset itself are the lenses and the lack of airflow. The picture quality isnโt perfect, it will look blurry if you donโt adjust the lenses perfectly, thereโs really no margin of error for that unfortunately. Even when you do find that perfect adjustment, itโs still a little blurry. I find myself taking the headset off quite a lot because of how hot it can get under it. The lenses fog up a lot and I have to wipe the sweat off of my face, which completely breaks the immersion. Overall, I love this thing. Iโve used it more in the 2 weeks Iโve owned it than I did in the 3 years I owned the first headset. Iโd say wait for a sale to come around if youโre not totally sold on VR and arenโt really sure if this is something youโll use a lot. If you do like VR and can see yourself using this quite often, then Iโd absolutely recommend buying it as soon as you can. This is an incredible experience.

It is beyond amazing in every way. The most fun I’ve had in years. 2 minor complaints but they don’t take away from its amazingness. 1. The cord for the headset should be wireless if possible. 2. The left control didn’t function while playing games and needed to be replaced. It was a manufacturing issue. It is still worth every penny. Top notch entertainment for years.

Stepping into VR with Sony’s latest PlayStation VR2, bundled with Horizon Call of The Mountainโข, has been a revelation. Coming from a PC VR background, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how Sony has leveled up the game with the PS5 and PSVR2. The setup is a breeze compared to the hoops I used to jump through with my PC setup. Honestly, it’s almost like comparing apples to oranges when you look at the ease of getting everything up and running. And the graphics? They’re nipping at the heels of the Vive Pro 2, which is saying something.
For anyone looking to dip their toes into VR waters, I’d nudge you towards this PS5 and PSVR2 combo. Itโs the simplicity and ease of setup that really seals the deal for me. Itโs as close to plug-and-play as VR has ever been.
But itโs not all smooth sailing. Thereโs a bit of a hiccup with the handheld controllers; they occasionally need a reset to play nice with the games. Thereโs a tiny reset button you’ll need to prod with a pin on the back of the controller. Itโs a bit of an annoyance and, frankly, something Sony should’ve ironed out by now. Hey Sony, itโs time for a fix!
Despite this minor gripe, the overall experience has been stellar. The PlayStation VR2, paired with the immersive landscapes of Horizon Call of The Mountainโข, offers an entry into VR thatโs hard to beat. Itโs straightforward, hassle-free, and delivers an impressive visual punch that gets you close to the high-end PC VR experience, without the usual setup dance. If youโve been on the fence about stepping into VR, this bundle might just be your perfect entry point.

First, Iโll start by saying I am a huge PlayStation fan and a huge fan of the original PSVR. I was very excited to get this. I was extremely disappointed. First off, essentially forcing you to use the headset headphones is absurd. I have a Dolby Atmos surround sound system and I have no desire to use headphones. You can technically not use the headphones, but when the headset is turned on, even if the headphones are not plugged in, you canโt change the audio output. It is stuck on Headset Headphones output, and doesnโt even show any other options. If the headphones are unplugged, it will play audio through the speakers, but only the front speakers. My side speakers were silent. Some guy on YouTube did a video showing that he bought a Bluetooth adapter for the PS5 and then paired his sound system that way, but thatโs a ridiculous workaround, and doesnโt allow you to do Atmos/3D audio.
My other issue is the horrible connection problems with the controllers. I returned this after about two hours of owning it, because one, Amazon sent me a used one when I paid for new, and two, I had to hard reset the controllers (multiple times) with a needle in the tiny hole they have. The controllers would often stop registering button inputs in games, and it was a problem across all the game demos I tried. Thankfully I was smart enough not to buy any games. Turning everything off and on didnโt fix problems, either. So, my experience with this is that it is a piece of junk. Sony really dropped the ball this time.

After 10 months it refuses to be connected to PS5 , and the joke is that product is not repairable under warranty because the Seller is not authorized from the agent in UAE to sell VR2

Plugged the product directly to my ps5. There was no light indication and it seems that it is not drawing power. Checked my usb c port and its working fine. The product is defective.
