I have trust in the Plugable brand of electronics, and this docking station just adds to it. It is a premium USB-C docking station with great extras. One is the included 110-watt power adapter. The other extra is the included 1-meter USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 cable capable of 10Gbps transfer speeds.
I tested this docking station with my Dell Latitude 5320 2-in-1 laptop. No drivers were required. I simply connected the dock to my laptop using the USB-C cable, and instantly, my laptop recognized my two additional displays through the HDMI ports, and I had a triple display in extended mode. I included a picture.
My laptop only requires 45-watts to charge so this external power adapter charged my laptop with no issues at the same time as it has a 65-watt output. You also get extra power to the dock for other devices. I tried an external hard drive and a flash drive plugged into the available USB 3.0 ports on the docking station. No issues transferring files. Its quick. No issues with the ethernet port either. No drivers required.
On the front of the docking station, you get a USB-C 5Gbps port, A USB 3.0 5Gbps port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. On the side is a power button. At the back of the docking station, in order, you get an ethernet port, a USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.0 port, two HDMI ports, the PD/power port, and the power in port for the external power adapter.
The docking station measures about 7” long, 3” wide, and less than an inch thick. It has ventilation on every side at the top and bottom of the dock. There are also 4 rubber feet to keep it secure on a desktop.
There is nothing not to like about this dock. I’m impressed with the quality, the extras, and the performance. If this dock had 3 display ports, it would even be better, but I’m not getting greedy, I can use the other HDMI port on my laptop. This is a premium dual display dock with a variety of ports. You get an external power adapter, and the USB-C data transfer, and charging cable.

I recently integrated this Plugable USB C Docking Station into my daily workflow, and it’s been a game-changer for my productivity. Here’s a firsthand account of my experience:
✅ Seamless Plug-and-Play Experience:
Upon receiving the docking station, I was pleasantly surprised by its plug-and-play simplicity. The setup process was incredibly smooth — no drivers to install or complicated configurations. It truly lived up to its promise of being an entry-level dock that doesn’t compromise on features.
✅ I can use dual 4K Monitors for Enhanced Productivity and crystal-clear image/video
One of the standout features is its capability to extend to dual 4K HDMI screens at 60Hz each. This has transformed my workspace, allowing me to dedicate screens to specific tasks. Now, I can keep my video calls on one screen while working on presentations on the other, leading to a noticeable boost in productivity.
✅ Perfect Daily Driver for My Various Use Cases:
Whether it’s office work or creative endeavors, this USB-C docking station with power delivery has proven to be a reliable daily driver. It seamlessly accommodates a variety of tasks. For content creation and data-intensive tasks, the dock has demonstrated commendable performance. My external HDD can be used at high speed.
✅ Compatibility and Reliability:
I primarily use Windows 10, and the compatibility with this system has been flawless. But the dock is fully compatible with systems supporting USB-C Display Port Alternate Mode, Thunderbolt 4/3, and USB4. It’s important to note that it’s not recommended for Mac, and its performance is dependent on the host system.
✅ Extended Warranty and Support (2 years; knowledgeable and responsive support)
ALL-IN-ALL:
This Plugable USB C Docking Station is a stellar performer that brings together top-notch features with budget-friendly pricing. It has seamlessly integrated into my workflow, offering a hassle-free experience, dual 4K display capability, and the reliability I need for everyday tasks. If you’re in search of a docking station that strikes a perfect balance between performance and affordability, this is undoubtedly a solid choice. Strongly recommended!

quality product, was sent promptly and was brand new as requested, not a refurb.

I am very happy with this purchase. I had previously bought a Dell docking station at a similar price point and ended up returning it because it only had 1 HDMI port and was very bulky. This docking station is less clunky, works seamless with my two monitor set up, and has all the ports I need without any of the the extra bulk.

I have a Surface Book 3. Bought a Surface Thunderbolt 4 Dock (for $300!), which *allegedly* supports two 4k displays. The Thubderbolt Dock did not. I bought new Microsoft cables. Didn’t work. Bought new Microsoft adapters. Didn’t work. Bought two Microsoft Monitors. Didn’t work.
THIS DOCK WORKS! I have two 4k monitors running after simply plugging in. Months of frustration and hundreds of wasted dollars later, THIS is the product I needed the whole time. So happy with this!

This is to work speciality with HDMI ports for monitors. My monitors do not have the dual monitor display ports so the other docking stations would not work for me. I am happy to be working with 2 monitors.

works very well and eliminates all the cords connected directly to my laptop, thereby allowing for quickly undocking/redocking as needed.

Works great for pc and mac (although you can only extend one screen on mac, that is not the dock’s fault).
Allows me to charge, connect to Ethernet, connect my keyboard, connect my 2 monitors, and connect my mouse to my laptop with a single thunderbolt cable. And the dock still havs ports left

This is a fairly decent multifunctional and versatile USB-C dock/adapter that’s well-constructed (expected from Plugable) and it’s one of the very FEW that actually supports dual displays (with 2x HDMI) at 4K@60Hz with plenty USB ports (4 ports in total, 3x 5 Gbps and 1x standard USB-A 2.0) to work with and a GigE along with a 3.5mm port (no SD/TF reader though).
I particularly like the fact it’s capable of supporting dual display with 2x HDMI 2.0 running at 4K@60Hz EACH for any USB4/TB4 capable hosts via Alt mode because there are very few of these docks that can do this (the VAST majority of dual/triple display capable docks only support 4K@30Hz at most or a mix of 30Hz/60Hz but often NOT both simultaneously). It’s capable of providing up to 65W (claimed) to laptops; however, 63W was the maximum I could ever get but I suppose that’s close enough.
≡ Specs & features
* 1x 110W Input, 20V/5.5A (via barrel connector)
* 1x 65W PD Output (100W max, 63W tested)
* 2x HDMI 4K@60Hz
* 1x USB-C @ 5 Gbps (5V/0.9A)
* 2x USB-A @ 5 Gbps (5V/0.9A)
* 1x USB-A @ 480 Mbps (5V/0.5A)
* 1x Ethernet/RJ45 (GigE) port
* 1x 3.5mm
≡ What I like
✔ Capable of dual display with 4K@60Hz
✔ Plenty of USB ports (4x) ports; 3x 5 Gbps ports (2x USB-A + 1x USB-C), 1x USB-A 2.0 port
✔ Has Ethernet/GigE port
✔ Nice and clean physical build and appears to be well made
✔ Relatively compact and portable – can be carried around with relative ease
✔ Plug’n’Play (for Win 10/11, macOS is limited with a single display though) – I was able to use it right away without issues.
≡ What I don’t like
✘ No 10 Gbps USB-C (preferred) or USB-A ports
✘ No support for PD (~20W would’ve been sufficient) charging via USB-C 5 Gbps port
✘ No SD/TF reader that most others have
✘ A bit pricey for 2x 4K@60Hz without 10 Gbps USB ports
I should also emphasis again that NOT all systems can fully utilize quad 4K displays at 60Hz resolutions and change may need to be made to BIOS to enable/disable certain functions to make use of multiple displays at high resolution/refresh rate via USB-C docks because the way it’s implemented on different systems.
≡ Note
This particular dock does NOT utilize DisplayLink technology (whereas a few others from Plugable do) which means no drivers are needed but that also means the operating system/hardware are responsible for supporting dual display at the specified resolution which requires MST and Alt mode.
You should always check the spec and/or requirements for your specific hardware and OS first. Sometimes enabling or allowing the use of multiple high resolution displays via USB-C may in fact reduce the performance of other USB ports (usually other USB-C or 10 Gbps ports) so you might wanna check that first as well.
In addition, not all systems allow for the configuration of all display related settings when they are connected via USB-C interfaces such as resolutions, refresh rates, pixel shaders, filtering, and various calibrations (color channels, hue etc) which could affect many gamers or people work in multimedia editing or graphic design and so on.
≡ Value
It’s an overall well-made and nicely built multiport adapter with a TON of connectivity options especially for its quad display capabilities with a GigE and 3x 5 Gbps USB ports. Not only is it good for [home] offices but it’s also good for [some] gamers or just anyone who wants to add additional monitors to increase their desktop real estate.
However, it’s a bit pricey at $190 that maybe a deal breaker for many, or at least some, potential consumers. If you absolutely require 2x 4K@60Hz for both monitors and don’t require 10 Gbps or higher ports (e.g. NVMe enclosure) then perhaps give this a shot; otherwise, there are quite a few alternatives and cheaper options out there that are a roughly 30-50% less (of course, those may NOT support 2x 4K@60Hz at all). Your mileage might vary.

I got this to pair with my work laptop so that I can have have it connected to multiple external monitors permanently and not have to micromanage multiple wires. I also wanted to be able to connect to multiple setups easily. This station lets me do just that. I have a couple monitors, a mouse and keyboard, alongside some other peripherals connected that can be shared to multiple devices just by one wire. It is truly a plug and play docking station. No complaints at all, great little device.

Used with XPS13 and Lenovo thinkpad X13 Gen 2 and it works well in multi screen with both laptop. simply plug and play.
Chuck Miller –
I’ve used this more than a few times to connect my gaming laptop to a pair of 1440p monitors at my desk, and there’s no noticeable input lag whatsoever. The picture quality on both screens is also crystal clear, and I haven’t had one problem with it disconnecting, or any artifacts on either monitor. Works like a charm

Maybe there’s an internal reason why it wouldn’t work, but I sure wish Plugable had included a couple more USB ports on the front side of this dock, either USB-A or USB-C (or both). Otherwise this is a somewhat pricey but very solid performer, and it has the added attraction of a power button. I don’t why so few docking stations include a power button, but after all the purpose is to turn your laptop into a desktop, so why wouldn’t you want a power button? Anyway, a solid performer and it delivers flawless steady video to a pair of Dell 4k monitors on my desk.
