My son who uses it is very pleased with this and so are we at home since he loves to practice so much. It gives him the feel he needs although not perfect but it works well enough and mutes the sound not 100% but significantly. I would recommend it for sure.

Excelente producto, llegó en tiempo y forma, sin duda por el precio y calidad es funcional, afecta un poco la afinación, pero nada fuera de lo común, como con cualquier sordina de estudio no recomiendo usarlas por más de 1 hora de estudio.

Nice and small so it fits in my case, and it lowers the volume significantly. Good product

Una sordina que te deja ensayar sin molestar a nadie incluso en edificios con muros delgados y donde vive mucha gente. Una excelente opción.

I was trying to think of one negative for this product but I can’t. I just opened it about an hour ago and I love it so much I had to write a review. I do a lot of mute practice at work and at home, and when I warm up for various church and other gigs. I was using a silent brass mute, which is pretty heavy when playing, and a bit of a hassle when traveling. I’ll still use it when I want to plug in to hear myself, but this Pro Tec mute blows it out of the water. It’s just as quiet as the silent brass, but it is SO MUCH lighter. AND it fits in the bell when my horn is in its case (the main reason I bought it). A lot of people complain about the back pressure or stuffiness, but it’s a practice mute. I think some back pressure is to be expected. I recommend this mute to anyone needing a light, travel-friendly practice and warm-up mute.

Fits fine on the flugelhorn. Good for keeping the sound down while practicing.

I use this mute for warmups at rehearsals and gigs. Does a great job of quieting the horn. Has good time quality through the majority of the Horn’s range. Extreme ends, as to be expected, are difficult to play, and tone does suffer a bit. This is normal, but a bit more pronounced on this compared to the Dennis Wick series of practice mutes. Only reason I gave 4/5 stars was because I use DW mutes at home.

Haven’t played trombone in a while, so I bought this so I could practice without disturbing my roommates. It fits in the bell just fine, I can close my case with it in, and it keeps the volume way down. There is a bit of resistance with it in, but that is kind of the point. Overall, I would definitely recommend this for anyone who needs a practice mute.

Great practice mute, softens the sound while still producing a nice tone. Feels good quality and easy to use.

The good: Attenuation is excellent. It’s only slightly louder then the previous generation of Yamaha Silent Brass mutes. It’s lightweight, inexpensive, and fit’s almost entirely in the bell of a Bach 36 tenor trombone

The bad: Still has the stuffiness of a practice mute, and sharps the ‘bone by about 30%. Copy of a copy of the acclaimed Best Brass practice mute

Overall: Hard to beat the value of the mute.

Arrived very promptly, in fact five days sooner than expected.
Brilliant mute at less than half the price of other mutes I own.
Fits large bore (88H) as well as small bore (6H) trombones equally well.
Intonation is good over the whole range of the instruments.
    Very pleased with this purchase.
