I was wary because I purchased this to walk my cat outside, and obviously, cats aren’t meant to be walked as if they were dogs. Well, it turns out my cat has no problem with being walked outside in this harness. He took very well to wearing the harness and doesn’t make a fuss when I’m putting it on him. Also, my cat used to be a stray so perhaps that’s why he seems fine with being outside. Since I just started walking him, I’m taking baby steps and only walk him around in my backyard. It’s a slow process because cats get very curious and stop often to smell things, but the harness is comfortable on him and makes it easy to keep him at my side even when he feels like chasing after a lizard or something else that has caught his attention. Of course, I reward him with treats after we take our walks and rewarded him the first time I put the harness on him. I also leave the harness where he sleeps like the instructions on the back label say. The harness doesn’t break off even when he pulls while I’m walking him and this is much to my surprise because the clips are those “break away” ones. It seems strong enough. The only thing I had difficulty with while I was putting it on him was adjusting the collar to fit around his neck. I had a hard time sliding the clip for some reason, but eventually got it to where I wanted it to be. Even my mother-in-law wants one of these harnesses for her own cat, too.

It’s great for what it’s intended for. He slips out of everything pretty easily, but this puts me as ease knowing he can’t get out, since he gets distracted and likes to chase things. It’s not too thick to where it’s uncomfortable for him. It’s adjustable, I can adjust it to fit my 9lbs & 13lbs cats.

PROS**
– Easy to adjust for neck and chest width
– Buckle is secure, not easy to pop off
– D ring and leash attach and hold on well
– Reflective strip built in, for ease of finding cat or for night time walking
– Helpful instructions and tips for successful training
– Good length leash (I’m 5’11, don’t feel like I’m dragging the cat around, some slack)
– My cat has not gotten out ( She also has a very calm demeanor, so most of that is on her at this point)
CONS**
– I wish the middle was more easily adjustable, I feel my cat is a little long, so the spacing between the neck and chest seems almost too small for her.
As time goes on I will update because I feel it is super important to cat owners to be able to trust a product when it comes to their cat’s safety.
I highly recommend this product so far and feel that it has made our training experience pretty straight forward and simple. I would buy this again!

I have two cats I walk, but I only bought one harness because, honestly, I’ve been burned by too many “escape-proof” promises before. Turns out, this one’s good enough that I’m getting a second. Pro tip: measure your cats. The small size fits both my slender model and my, uh, fluffier model.
At first, I was a little skeptical, there’s no connection between the chest and the head strap underneath, which seemed like a recipe for disaster. But so far the harness has stayed put, no kitty jailbreak
