I bought this to replace my now dead 7 year old none-branded rear view mirror dashcam in my truck/canopy. The old rear camera didn’t work (4 pole, new’s a 5) so I had to rewire the whole trucks canopy wire loom (power, ground, alarm sensors, cam & third brake light wires in a plastic round wire tube bolted to the canopy). Then to only find out that the new rear camera function wasn’t working. I didn’t want to hassle with the wire loom again so I waited for the replacement. Swapped out just the mirrors and all was good for 2 days. Then It would immediately turn off after turning it on. It just wouldn’t stay on. I ordered a 3rd one and it would only format the same 32g SD @1:32:15 and only record about 40 min. then loop with space still left on the card. I then ordered the cheaper Be Angel one, swapped mirrors and it worked with the Pyle rear cam so I just switched the rear cams so I didn’t have to touch the whole wire loom.
Three in a row means they’re just a Pyle!
The Be Angel one is working just fine. After reformatting the same old 32g SD It reads @2:29:59 and records that long before looping, just like the old non-branded one did!

What is my only dislike? (Honda Element SC 2007) I used to have a Broadway add-on mirror on top of my OEM mirror, which fits perfectly (no bumping in to the sun visors. With the Broadway mirror gone, replaced with the Yi mirror dash cam, it it about 1/4 inch wider on both sides, causing obstruction with the sun visors. On my 2nd car (2014 Mazda 5 GT), the mirror fits perfect, fit between the sun visors.
Installation is a breeze, and take your time routing the cabling. It helps routing the cables inside the pillar trim and under the interior weather stripping. Cord clamps also help tidy things up. I need to do quite a bit of cord cleanup with my Honda Element SC vs the Mazda 5 GT (the Mazda came out cleaner as I was able to use the existing (shorter) rear camera cable from the previous dash cam). Download the app on your mobile device and connect to the Yi cam. The Honda Element SC had a convenient cig outlet in the center console/armrest so I was able to use the provided usb-power-to-cig adapter. As for my Mazda5’s installation, I had to use my existing 4-port cig adapter.
Quality is really good for the price I paid. I can read license plates from both front and rear cameras when reviewing footage. Don’t be fooled by some dual dash cam setups you see on Amazon, the rears is usually VGA resolution and you can’t read out anything. The rear is definitely 720p. Sun glare can make it difficult for the lens to adjust to daylight brightness. Overall, I am happy about the footage quality.
Transferring footage from the camera to your phone can be painfully slow, being only Wireless-N 802.11n speed (2.4GHz). And accessing the SDCard can be a pain in the butt, especially when you’ve adjusted the mirror angle and lens to your liking.
I’d buy another one for the next car!

I was very surprised by the picture quantity of this unit. It does take a little time to get used to it when looking in the mirror. The video image is on the right side and you only use the left side as a mirror. Once you train your mind to look to the left it is great.
It took some time to be able to hide most of the wiring, but once done it looks real clean, with minimal exposed wires. It is simple to attach the mirror to your existing mirror with 2 bands that attach to the unit.
Purchase a micro SD card, with an adapter so that you can upload images to your computer if you need to.
Every time I turn on the car it turns on within second and powers down when I shut off the car. It works great.

Update: If you live outside of the USA and you register for the gift for registering the product after you’ve received your dash-cam you will not be eligible. Still a good camera though.
This is a nice dual camera system. Easily installed. SD card formatted quickly and it’s easy to use. The rear camera was simple plug and play (not using the reverse wire so it’s just a recorder). The rear camera had a tilted image. Just twisted the camera bezel and it’s level now. Mounted inside the rear window so no weather issues. The front mirror mount camera installed in seconds and the image quality is excellent. Time will tell if this keeps going but what cheap insurance to have both front and rear cameras in case of an incident. Recommended.

Very good camera. Everything was packaged good and worked great. Clear views front and rear. Blue tint wasn’t any different than my factory mirror so was easy transition. Didn’t hook up reverse wire yet because i was just gonna use inside my back window but because of limitations of my car I’m going to mount the camera and hook up reverse wire. Camera views are very clear and install was a breeze. It is plug and play and a very nice unit. Impressed me. Would recommend. Very high quality for cheap👍👍

A little jinky , but for the price , its pretty good . MUST have TF (micro SD) card or it acts stupid . Backup camera is decent ( reason we purchased ) . Also camera cord was barely long enough for med size sedan . And the camera plug is specific so cant upgrade camera . But all in all ..does the job 👍🏻 Also . Its HUGE .. so i just knocked out my old mirror and cut a hole so I could center it ( pic )
UPDATE : It’s now been a week . Night vision SUCKS on forward camera ,just green blobs . And at 4am , I’m up and look out the window , notice a glow in the car . I figure wife or kids left interior light on ,I go check. NOPE ! Stupid camera is on . Barely a breeze blowing , so I try to review recording if was an animal triggered it , that was impossible task . I sit and watched it from in the house for an hour , never went off .. so apparently it stays on when it wants . Also … tried turning it off while driving a couple nights ago because of the GLARE … and it starts its stupid auto on/off cycle . This thing continues to piss me off … and it also interferes and creates static with nearly every damn radio station to the point our favorites cant be enjoyed ..our factory stereo is integrated with the cars other systems or I would have simply installed a new unit with back up camera…. this thing is RIDICULOUS !

Let me tel you all it’s amazing , I had the worst experience buying font and back camera on eBay almost $200 the camera never worked and they never refund, (am not buying there ever) so I decided to buy this camera for my car and I found this affordable and great quality, I was so excited that as soon as I received the packed I installed .
