So let’s first say the price is 36 dollars, so for that and a few other things it gets 4 *. Unboxing was easy and the instructions were the most detailed I’ve seen in a while 😂. The gloves were useless for me, but nice for others I’m sure. The biggest fail is the hammer 🔨 it would just chip the paint and create dings. I used a rubber mallet instead. I would read all of the instructions first, and I would suggest also to do one shelf at a time meaning all brackets, middle bracket, and The actual shelf. After you do that, then you could push down and use your rubber mallet. You will need a lot of patience because the brackets pop off so you just gotta keep putting them back on and keep building. Mine seems very stable, but I would never move it; seems like some of the brackets would pop off. Not bad for the price and look at that organization. Makes my OCD happy 😃

The key to assembly is to start at the bottom, put the sides together 2 legs, and 2 short members.
Then put two sides together using a long one. Careful to keep the legs upright. Tap the pegs into their slots . it takes a full swing of the mallet. sometimes numerous hits. if you bend them out of 90 degree angles they loosen.
once you have 4 legs joined and the middle shelf support in, put a shelf in the bottom. THATS how to keep it together. I went straight to the leg couplers next. Then did the utmost top shelf. This presented a stable base to load and build the rest.
This kit SHOULD come with atleast half inch mdf shelves , it was designed to, but it meets the specs they give as it is. This is an add on you can do . one sheet of 1/2 inch mdf will make 8 shelves , double the last two with 2 1/4 inch it came with.
This is a great budget shelving system. The people with bad reviews dont understand geometric design where the overall shape adds to strength.
Its 1/8th inch metal, but the bends and such are what give it its strength.
said bluntly, this shelf meets expectations and i loaded the hell out of it with everything in my garage. if it was 100 ea i could see some disappointment. But my engineering background says this shelf meets all its stated specifications. I am not upset.

I put 13″ height on each shelf and as you can see from the picture wound up with 20″ of height on the top shelf with nothing on top to close the shelf. I contacted seller for an extra bar and shelf and they said they don’t sell it. So unless you need a shelf with 40″ in height, go get something else. Installation took me a little over an hour. They include a rubber hammer and gloves which I missed. The rubber hammer though seems too weak. I used a 24 oz. rubber hammer to push the bar down the hole which is crucial in keeping the shelving secure. The cardboard like shelf material seems cheap, but other reviews say it holds up well. Doesn’t seem as flimsy as my other steel shelf. I have extra drywall so probably will use that to close top shelf and put light items on it since this is basically unreturnable due to shipping costs.

It was easy to make and the price was good but the quality is not as good as it looks in the picture. I bought it because I urgently needed to buy a shelf in Basement. I couldn’t return it because I accidentally threw the boxes in the trash. This is the second time I was not satisfied with something I bought from Amazon.

Took a little time to assemble the first rack. Second rack went well when assembling. Looks great, exactly what I needed to assemble my tools . Just wish the boards were a little thicker but with the mid support beam, they hold well enough, liked so much, I ordered another single rack.

Received the shelves and tried to assemble them, there were no fasteners, pieces are supposed to snap on keep falling apart during installation, shelves were cardboard.
After being unable to assemble the shelves, we decided to return them, company sent us the shipping labels and we find out we had to pay for the shipping, the shipping would have cost us $51.25 for each unit, more than the purchase cost of $35.99 per unit so we decided it was better to just throw them away. When we contacted the seller to explain the situation to see if they could help, their answer was thank you for keeping the shelves

I use this shelving unit to organize my tools. The quality is excellent the ease of putting it together was simple. It arrived in the door and within 1hour it was in my basement and I cleaned up my tool area. Wife loved it.
