It’s getting more and more rare these days to find products made in the USA. This solution is outstanding and made here at home in America by the grand daddy of eye care (Bausch & Lomb). I have very sensitive eyes and there is nothing harsh with this new formula at all. My contacts feel brand new after cleaning and soaking with this newest formula from re-nu. Prior to getting an eye infection that was caused by bacteria on one of my contacts, I never paid much attention to brand. Well, anyone who has had an eye infection attributed to contact lens wearing knows how miserable it can be. The re-nu advanced formula replaces the 3 previous re-nu formulas into 1 product that really does it all. Add in the standardized disinfectant testing (ISO 14729) results and this is clearly the best at killing the 4 most common organisms when put up against other big-name multi-purpose solutions and was the best at disinfecting lenses. Whenever a company refers to “ISO” testing, it means an independent testing facility used established testing protocols. I have looked at at least six other big names and none refer to their results of the ISO 14729 (or any ISO test for that matter) in their company product info pages. Re-nu by Bausch & Lomb is the only one I could find. And considering how much it’s mentioned in their advertising and on the company’s website, I see why. What company wants to say they came in number 2 at killing bacteria?? Exactly. To top it off, even the case that comes in the box is stamped Made In USA on the bottom! See photo. The fact the solution is best at cleaning the most common bacteria found on contacts after standardized independent testing, combined with the fact that I can actually see tiny particles at the base of each lens cleaning “cup” after they have been soaking in the solution while I sleep (that’s never happened with other brands in my experience), and the fact the solution AND the case is made in the USA makes this a no brainer. One final observation I want to share… usually I have to use rewetting drops every few hours. After using this solution, I have found I am not using the rewetting drops as often. So this solution is clearly doing its job. Highly recommended!
