This is a really good 8x8x8 Terrarium. I purchased it for my Juvenile Green Bottle Blue Tarantula. I do want to point out and you can see my video for reference, there are 4 escape points that need to be modified. My GBB is a little less than about the size of a dime and would have easily been able to escape the enclosure had I not noticed the 4 escape points. The 1st being the actual size of the small square ventilation openings being a bit too large for a tarantula my size and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th being openings around the top latch. I easily remedied the latch openings using Gorilla 100% Silicone Sealant and for the ventilation openings, I used cardboard based wrapping paper around the 3 top sides with scotch tape on top. Using tape alone would not be recommended as the tarantula can touch it and lose a leg or two or more. I hope the video helps with how to remedy making this enclosure 100% escape proof for slings and/or Juvenile Spiders. Otherwise, this is a pretty decent enclosure for a VERY affordable price. And you don’t have to put it together, it’s ready to use right out of the box.
**As a side note, there will be alot of static right out of the box, which can make your substrate dust stick to the sides, to prevent this, go around inside and outside of enclosure touching/rubbing it with your clean hands and this will get rid of the static.**

it is exactly what you see in the picture, only reason for 4 stars is in some angles its a little warped and blurry but overall can see through mostly fine, love the misting bottle and tongs! I wont say i regret this purchase but i did buy this for my first tarantula before learning cheap Tupperware does perfectly as-well. if your looking for something a little more pleasing to the eye and ready to go, this is a good choice 🙂

Purchased this for a stowaway frog! This guy was hiding in our basement…. until he was not. Normally frogs hibernate in the winter, but this guy sought refuge indoors not realizing food would run out!
Once we were able to catch him, I ordered this enclosure. Shipping was prompt!
We did need to use regular tape to cover up all holes aside from the top mesh due to me wanting to order (house) flies as part of diet until his springtime release. As the cage is, flies can get out of the holes. No big deal- just be aware if you’re looking for something for flies. I already assumed they would be able to get out before putting the flies in and taped any areas i questioned. The top screen offers plenty of airflow though, I did tape 2 spots on the top of the cage because I felt flies could defeat get out of that. This was a simple, affordable tank for a stowaway. The water dish and other accessories are a great bonus!
Thank you for prompt shipping and supplying a great home for unexpected roommates! This cage came 2 days before the flies I ordered and we were able to get him acclimated to it so he wasn’t stressed once food arrived.

Love the high quality! It’s quite sturdy and very well made. This is a perfect size for my jumping spiders and I’m definitely going to be ordering more of these enclosures. The self closing feeder slot is a terrific idea, and the secure little locking connectors are great. It also has ridges on the top and bottom corners to allow for neat, secure stacking without the risk of them sliding around. They come well packaged to prevent any scratches during transit, and they’re easy to set up.
I’d have given it a full five stars except that the measurements are not as advertised. It’s only 7 inches tall, not 8. The length and width are also both just under 8 inches. This was not a big deal for my intended use, but it might make a huge difference if you’re needing it to fit with other items on hand.

I bought the zilla small enclosure for my jumping spider. I thought the instructions were terrible and the enclosure itself isn’t super sturdy, it’s all just held together by rubber bands and God’s will. I’m kicking myself I didn’t just buy this one first when it’s cheaper and better made. No instructions were given but it’s almost completely put together. Just have to insert the screws on the sides and you’re done. I love the strong magnetic door for the feeding portal. I love how the top hatch door feels sturdy and it won’t just fly open. My jumping spider, Boris, is very happy and is already crawling around and happily exploring! 10/10 buy it!

I ordered this terrarium for my husband for Father’s Day because I caught him a tarantula the other day- VERY impressed!! Last year I bought one of the ones you put together with rubber bands and was disappointed so we went on the hunt for a new one and landed on this one!! It houses the tarantula really well. Plenty of space for the little guy and a super cool iron clad beetle we found too. The food compartment is really handy as well! All in all a great little product! We plant to order more since he likes bugs hahaha

I have 6 of this size in use right now, with plans for more. They are durable and they are designed to stack with each other. As someone with many tarantulas, the sturdy stacking is wonderful for maximizing space.
Assembly is simple. The plastic screws are not necessary on this size as the fit is surprisingly snug. I still use them for peace of mind, but they could ignored for aesthetic purposes. It comes with a rubber stopper that people don’t seem to realize is for plugging the top wire hole. Don’t pitch it.

My only qualm is that cleaning is a pain. The lid’s quick opening is too small to really get a thorough cleaning and if you replace bedding frequently, just don’t bother getting this. You need to remove the entire top half of the terrarium (attached with some plastic screws) whenever you want to do a full clean, or even catch your critter out so you can clean.
If your critter jumps, bites, is easily scared, this is not the terrarium for you. We just use it for a play container now for the kids.
