Client d’Amazon –
Bonjour à vous. J’ai commandé la cisaille chez vous parceque j étais sur de la trouver. La mienne était hors d usage.

Dowels have to be flat on the bottom and the top, or they defeat the purpose – absolutely a non-starter after hours of work on a complicated cake. After years of struggling with the other alternatives, I bought this. It works easily and cuts perfectly flat ends on plastic dowels of any width – worth every penny! By the way – a similar product that I tried in a big box store did not work at all – too dull. You need this one.

I have used ratcheting PVC pipe cutters for years, but never, ever had a cutter that was as easy to use as this one. Yeah, it’s pricey, but the last tool I just threw away was about $10 and the aggravation it caused me, and time lost, is worth ten times the price of this tool. It cuts right through 1″ and 3/4″ schedule 40 pipe like butter. It has a strong, solid, but not too heavy design. I have hopefully a temporary tennis elbow issue and I couldn’t even make a dent in the PVC with the old cheap cutters. But one hand, no discomfort with this tool. I have cut around 30 pieces with it already and no issues at all!! This is a big issue because I have to cut pipe in my existing sprinkler system that is in the ground. It absolutely has to work one handed, and this tool solved that for me!!
If you want quality and not have to worry about this frequently used tool working with PVC, this is it.
I can’t speak for the longevity of the sharpness of the blades, but I saw that they are replaceable. Then it would work as a whole new tool! Of course, sharpening the blades with a little oil and a dremel would work too.
I’m happy with it big time. I hope you will be too.

Ridgid has always made an amazing reliable and quality product. I was amazed at how easy and precise this tubing cutter cuts through 1” schedule 40 PVC pipe. Great product!

This is a good in-between cutting tool. The cheap tools don’t cut square and don’t ratchet well which if frustrating for me in a tight spot. This one doesn’t take much room to ratchet and cuts square enough. I was told that the Klein pipe cutter was the best but it sells for $220 more. I wish I could try these side by side. I did try the Klein and got a quick, square cut. This Rigid tool was also quick and the cuts almost square. Probably about 1/16 in. off at the most, other times apparently square. I’ve been using $15 cutters and have to buy a new one each year and have to put up with very un-square cuts. Something like 1/4 in. off. For the extra $32 I think I did well. We’ll see by this time next year.

This arrived today. There are definitely less expensive versions that will do the job. However I checked those out at the local orange store, and they obviously were inferior quality with plastic handles, and thinner blades.
I tested this on schedule 40 pvc and it cut easily, one handed. I have made several canopy structures and roof racks which incorporate some pvc pipe and fittings. I typically cut the pvc with a pvc hand saw, when working remotely, or my electric mitre saw. Both worked. The hand saw was a grind when making multiple cuts, and the mitre saw created copious sawdust.
This cuts clean ,neat, and quick. My current project is for my 30 foot boat at the marina, a winter cover. Nice to not haul the mitre saw, or create toxic pvc sawdust on the dock, or onboard. Also its quick and easy, and pvc is dirt cheap. So I can build quickly with trial and error.

This is made for larger sizes of pvc/pvcc pipe. It’s rather large but fits well in my medium hands and gives good pressure with minimal effort. Cuts quick and smoothly with nice ratcheting compression. Frame is aluminum, thick, light weight and sturdy. Blades need to be kept oiled as they will rust. Recommend this tool for superior performance coupled with light weight strength that wont break a toe if I drop it.

I made over 150 cuts on 1/2 inch PVC pipe for my son’s marshmallow shooter birthday party. It was quick and easy, and my hands don’t hurt. Keep in mind I’m a 5’2″ lady with small hands and did not find this to be difficult at all. I wouldn’t say it cut like “butter,” but it was easy and the cuts were extremely smooth, leaving no marks on the pipe. Open the handles to release, 6 quick clicks allow me to slide the 1/2 inch pipe in, line up with my mark, and 4 clicks cut the pipe. I used both hands – one close to the center and the other to help. It didn’t always give me perfect perpendicular cuts, but that’s okay. Finished all my cuts in the second half of the Broncos playoff game.
I previously bought the Rigid twisting PVC cutter from Lowes and returned it after one cut because 1) too many rotations meant this project would have taken me forever, 2) the cut was messy and I would have had to sand it smooth, and 3) it left marks where the plastic rollers rolled around the pipe.

I’m 94 years old and my hand strength is poor, but using this tool is a pleasure. The locking in place as you are cutting the pipe makes it so much better than the older cutters I’ve used.
