I’ve got two installed on my house. They mostly work well. There’s some bugs though. 1) The lights come on and off all the time, for no apparent reason whatsoever. Haven’t been able to fix that.
2) There’s some kind of bug in them that turns the video recording on long after the zone is penetrated. It’s set to trigger at the end of my driveway and does, but the recording doesn’t start for something like 10 seconds later. So, I get great footage of the last half of my car pulling into the garage. It’s really not okay! I’ve had several occasions where a person who’s been stalking my house has been recorded, but they’ve already come over 80 feet up the driveway before the video begins. Only a small portion of their car is shown and the damage is already in progress. It’s because of this person that I installed the ring cameras! Epic fail
3) wind, rain, snow, hail, wind, and birds all trigger this thing. So do squirrels and cats. But apparently a car doesn’t cause it to react the same.
Love the app feature though and the ability to use and view from anywhere. The product is relatively easy to install and well put together.
Good enough for low threat applications and easy enough to use.

I bought this Ring Floodlight Camera 2.5 years ago because my garage is on the side of my house and my house is on a street corner so this helps monitor 2 points of entry and the street. I also own a Ring Doorbell Cam and a Chime Pro. This is my honest review after a couple years of using it.
The Ring Floodlight Camera was easy to install and connect to internet by myself. It came with VERY detailed paper instructions and a step-by-step guide on the app that is easy to follow. The camera quality is good for both day and night vision, and it also covers a very wide area. The motion sensor is EXTREMELY accurate and will alert you about general motion and if it detects people (it even detects spiders making webs near it, or nocturnal critters). You can customize the motion detection to monitor and alert you about whatever specific area that you choose in the app.
The light is SUPER bright and it responds well to any motion detected. You have the option within the app to turn the light on and off manually as well. The app also allows you to speak directly through the floodlight speaker in case you need to talk to someone outside of your home. There is an alarm button you can set off in the app in case you want to scare off any intruders (it is very loud, shrill, and alarming).
Occasionally, I do have the rare issue of lagging internet connectivity (usually during bad weather) but it is very rare and likely due to the fact that this camera is outside and pretty far from my internet modem and Chime Pro. It hasn’t really been a significant issue for me but it does happen here and there.
Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this Ring Floodlight Camera if you are looking for some added security outside of your home. I am still impressed by it and have not had any issues after 2.5 years of use.

This light has all the bells and whistles you expect from Ring. It works with my alarm as well to provide an additional siren outside, which is plenty loud and piercing. The motion detection is assistance as with most Ring cameras and also has stand alone controls for the lights. Great product.
