I’ve been using these for about a month now and they are great. The lids snap on in two places so when removing them unlatch and then press against the glass and plastic lip at the same time to ease them off. The seal is firm so it’s best to take your time removing the lids. The glass is sturdy and now instead of microwaving after emptying the contents onto a plate I microwave the glass portion without the lid directly in the microwave and that’s great added convenience. I liked these so much I ordered 2 separate 8 cup (the largest included in this set) after about 3 weeks of using these. Versatile sizes with this bundle for for large leftovers the largest ones work best. The medium size ones are great for packing lunches and reheating right in the container. The lid may or may not be microwave safe as they say but I just feel better only microwaving the base. Great products!

I love these bowls, they seem very durable. I love that the glass container is oven, freezer & dishwasher safe and that the cover seals everything in no leaks or spills. Bought these to use as lunch bowls to take to work and whilst they’re functional I find them a bit too heavy with and without food in them lol sooo I’m trying to get some plastic ones instead as I think they’d be lighter and easier to take on the go. Keeping these to use at home etc.

No guardan aromas, son fáciles de lavar, el cierre es bastante hermético no se te derrama nada, lo único en lo personal es que son un poco pequeños… Vienen empacados perfectamente bien. Todo sin problemas!

I have had a wide variety of different storage solutions for kitchen and pantry, each with their own pros and cons. I like these for several reasons:
1. They go from fridge to oven to microwave. This is important to me, as I wanted glass that I could microwave in. I no longer microwave in plastic, BPA free or not. Just a personal choice. I will sometimes leave the lids ajar on top to stop splatter, but it doesn’t come in contact with the food.
2. I’ve baked savings of lasagna, veggies, sides in advance and love the fact that I can pull premade dinners out of the fridge and go right into the microwave. Or when up to medium temp, I may put it back in the oven (note that there is a maximum oven temp set by the manufacturer–I would not broil in these either.
3. The majority of the lids in the Rubbermaid Brilliance line are a similar configuration. I cannot say how much I love having the majority of the lids of a storage system be one shape and size. It makes it so much easier to use.
4. They *stack* easily into other Rubbermaid Brilliance items too! This is super handy. Thus is helpful in the pantry and fridge. We always seem to have limited room.
5. I assume they call it “Brilliance” because it is totally clear, including most of the lids. This is helpful again in the fridge and pantry. Whoever designed all of the other systems needs to take a page from this book, as it makes it so much easier to find things.
6. It just doesn’t stain. Never. Pickled beets (shown in picture) left in fridge for weeks on end. Tomato sauce. Nothing. Everything goes in the dishwasher and comes out clean. This is important for our household.
Cons:
1. Probably the cost. There are cheaper options. However, look at the list of pros, above. I’d also add that they seem well made. I’ve broken the lids of other name brands. Also, Amazon has had these and the compatible Brilliance storage items on sale.
2. Maybe another con is that the lids are a tiny bit harder to close than some. I have come to like just how airtight it is though. No leaks.
I hope this helps. There also is a video review from America’s Test Kitchen. Check it out. You may be able to find it on YouTube.

I wanted something to replace my old plastic ones … trying to cut down on plastic contamination in my food. I read about these in a consumer magazine and they are perfect. They seal so well my wife has trouble getting the lids off sometimes! They don’t leak, are very easy to clean, and the size selection in the set is perfect for what we need.

These storage dishes are exactly what I have been looking for. They are clear glass so they are safer than plastic for food storage, the perfect size, and we can see what’s inside. We like that they can be microwaved, frozen and even the covers are dishwasher safe. They are a little pricey but if they are durable I will be buying more.

These are really nice food storage containers. At the time of this review, they are priced at around 38$ for the four. When I got them, they were on sale for closer to 30$. I think 30$ is close to the limit of what I would be willing to pay for these, but I’m a bit more cost averse than some.
With that high price tag though comes a quality product. You get two of each size here. The smaller ones are a nice one portion size, but sometimes I do feel like they could be a bit taller. The large ones are also a nice bigger size, can’t complain. The glass bottoms are durable and super easy to clean, I usually just put them in the dishwasher. I saw some reviews say that putting the plastic tops in the dishwasher caused the seal to get messed up, so I have hand washed mine and they still seal really well. They are really quick to hand wash so it’s not too much of a hassle. The lids go on by pushing down into the container a little bit which is interesting. Then there are the two clamps on either side. This is kind of a nice mechanism and its satisfying to push the lids on for me. This mechanism works to create the stackability of the containers. When full, they stack nicely on each other. When empty the glass bottoms stack very nicely into each other, and they store well. The lids, when separate, are a bit bulky with the clamp parts up which does take up a bit of space.
One of my only complaints is that at times the tops are so sealed on that they are hard to get off. Opening the container can be a challenge so consider that if you have strain averse fingers/hands. Overall, this is a very high-quality product.
When I moved out on my own after college this past year, I really wanted some quality glass food storage containers. Since then, I have bought these, and I have bought a set of glass Pyrex containers from Costco. I like both a lot, but I like these better. However, these are almost double the price for probably less than half the container space, so that gives you something to reference.
Pros:
– Quality glass bottoms
– Great seal
– Stack nicely
– Easy to clean
Cons:
– Hand wash lids
– Sometimes hard to open when sealed
– Lids take up space in storage
– Expensive
Final Note: I expect these to last me a long time and I really like the product. They are very expensive and there are certainly cheaper alternatives that are more cost efficient, but these are better quality in my opinion.
