Writing this review on my husband’s account.

I recently refinished our old piano and an old mirror we have. I originally wanted to use a chalk paint since it’s very forgiving and easy to use, but have this milk paint a try because I could not find a navy blue chalk paint that was this rich in color. I’m so glad I went with my gut and picked up this milk paint. It’s very easy to use and was already the thin consistency that I make my chalk paint before use (I add a cookie couple sprays of water to my chalk paint before use to get a smoother consistency.) Because it’s thinner, I did need to use at least three coats of milk paint to get the same opacity as I would have with two coats of chalk paint, but this was not an issue for me. If anything, it was more forgiving because if I had any paint that pooled up and left paint globs, it was so easy to sand it off before the next coat. I experienced this with the piano because of all the tiny crevasses, but it really wasn’t hard to fix.

Overall, I’m extremely pleased with the results of both the piano and mirror. For reference, I used five coats of paint on the piano (could’ve stopped at three, but the piano gets heavy use) and three coats on the mirror. I still have about a fifth of the can left, so I have enough to paint a small piece of furniture.

Some tips: 1.) Don’t be alarmed when you open the can and the paint looks bright blue; it dries to this deep, gorgeous navy color. 2.) If your piece is shiny, sand it with a medium grit sand paper to give the paint something to grip to. 3.) Use synthetic brushes; the coverage is just much better and easier to work with. 4.) You can use polycrylic as a top coat, but I used Jolie furniture wax as a top coat (also on Amazon); not only has it held up well, but it gave the piano and mirror and even richer color and great, smooth texture. Guests can’t help but touch the piano because of how stunning it looks. 5.) If you paint a piano like I did, please don’t paint the back/sound board, as this will compromise the sound. 6.) Have fun! This paint was very forgiving and easy to use!

The can of paint was shipped securely; no issues with shipping like others have experienced.

I posted multiple photos so you can see the paint in different lighting (lights vs natural.)

This went on fast and easy! I wasn’t able to do all the prep work but wanted to get this done fast and it really is dummy proof! I slathered this on and it looks great! I’m gonna top it off with a wax to make it more durable

I used the paint on a credenza and a shelving unit. The matte black finish looks amazing. I am buying another can to use on other items. It’s an easy way to change up furniture.

I was hesitant to try “milk paint” in general. A friend spoke highly of it so I thought I’d try it. I chose Rustoleum because I’ve used various types of their paint and trust the name. My friend said that Milk paint in general is really thick and covers in one coat. Not this… it’s the usual consistency of other paints. There is a very low odor component which is great, but there is a hint of a smell. Clean up is fantastic. Just sprayed my paint brush, etc with the hose. I’m not sure I’ll like the finish. It’s very flat and after two coats I can see where I may missed some spots and will need to touch up. It does streak and you’ll have to be consistent in application. Long smooth strokes. The color was great, that green/blue. I also bought the wax to apply over it after it cures a while. The wax is suppose to give a slight sheen and “seal” the paint for better durability. I think it may be easier than regular enamel paint, faster drying time, low odor. We’ll see how it wears…

I loved this paint so much! It’s matte and just beautiful. I bought an old table on marketplace and lightly sanded and then used this right over it. It covered beautiful and has helped up perfectly for the 6 months since I’ve painted it. It dried quickly and I was so happy with the end result, it did take a few coats in some spots but it may have been due to not using the proper brush.

Was super easy to use made my old bathroom vanity look amazing! Do your research on what to apply over it. I used a satin water proof clear coat to water proof it. I dripped a lot of the paint onto my floor and just let it dry and used a scraper to remove and cleanup with water very easy. Loved this product. The color is deep and rich and darkens as it dries.

I ordered Navy got gray. I’m keeping the gray as it still goes with my color palate and I’ll probably use later. Just had to reorder the navy
    Delayed project.
    But the product seems goid

i usually use general brand which is awesome but expensive. tried this brand because of cost and definitely good value for money. adheres well, somewhat thin viscosity, but cleans up easily. comes out cooler in color

The media could not be loaded.

Received an empty tin . For an expensive product we expect atleast the packaging to be done well and materials checked before sending. Would like an explanation on this or refund as we paid quite high for a litre of paint.

Seriously why so much money? Improve import channels or lower your profits.

This paint is a little shinier then I would have preferred. How I’m in a rental place and it did a nice job of covering up my scuff marks. Went on beautifully. I am certain that this size can will complete my apartments baseboards.
