When installing these I taped my drill bit so I knew when to stop to make sure I didn’t drill through my cabinets. They work well but we’re tedious to install. You can’t see them and can open doors and drawers 1 handed. Make sure you have a lower profile drill if you are trying to install in a drawer so you can secure them to the cabinet frame properly.

Diz que é com auto adesivo mas é com parafuso. Difícil instalar em gaveta. PÉSSIMO!! NÃO RECOMENDO.

Exactly what I needed and easy to install. I recommend pre-drilling your holes first to avoid any accidents. 🙂

two of these did not last more than a couple of hours in our house so we did not bother trying to install any others. The plastic seems brittle and breaks easily with any sort of downward pressure… Which is how you’re supposed to release the latch so doesn’t really work at all

sturdy, stiff locks. works perfect for under the bathroom cabinets

These might be good IF they were not so STIFF… meaning each time you push it to open a cabinet, it is so rigid that it pulls on the screws holding it in place… so…. it will fall off as the srrews are pulled loose!

You must have a couple of inches of vertical clearance above the cabinet door/drawer face for these to work.

If there is any kind of overhang directly above the drawer face or cabinet door, these won’t work. If you have modern style stacked drawers where the faces aren’t spaced apart (just a little 1/8″ or 1/4″ gap), then the thickness of the drawer above the one you want to open will prevent you from inserting a finger to depress the latch. If the top edge of the drawer or cabinet is just below an overhanging counter, these won’t work, despite their length.

I’m going to start out stating that child safety latch technology hasn’t changed much since I used them 25 years ago! Fortunately, I no longer need to latch the cupboard to keep my son out – oh no!

After 12 years, our (obviously not a genius) cat has suddenly figured out that the trash is kept under the sink (where it’s ALWAYS been), and that she could open the cabinet door. (Poor thing -she’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer, is she?)

After coming downstairs a few mornings to find the basket tipped out of its cabinet and lying on the floor (even if it was empty – did I mention that she’s not the brightest bulb in the box?), I put some stick-on Velcro on the edge of the cabinet door and stuck it shut. HA! That would fix her!

Well, I guess what she lacks in mental capacity, she makes up for in determination, because that Velcro didn’t deter her even for one day.

Clearly, my best option was to baby-proof the door, so I installed this Safety 1st Cabinet Latch, which was exactly what I expected from my experience with a REAL toddler – there’s just enough room to depress the latch with my finger, allowing me to release it and open the door. A bit of the pain in the neck, sure, but really not a big deal.

And if my ACTUAL toddler couldn’t outsmart this latch 25 years ago, Boo Boo Kitty’s got no chance, so the trash – and the cat – are safe!

Não sei como não pensamos nisso antes! Resolveu um dos maiores problemas aqui em casa em termos de organização! Meu filho consegue abrir qualquer outra trava (compramos várias) mas essa realmente funciona!

These were easy to install and are simple to use. For most cabinets you don’t even need to install the second half of the latch because it will just naturally latch to the cabinet board.
