We setup the TV according to the supplied manuals, pressed power and the display didn’t work. The One connect cable that goes to the back of the TV and the One Connect box have a terrible connection on the ‘box’ end. It is a fiber optic cable that cannot have any bends over 90 degrees and the connectors are crap. It also supplies power to the TV itself, there isn’t an AC power cord. After fiddling with the cable for about 20 minutes were were able to get a picture and complete the setup. Then I went to gently move the one connect box back an inch or so and the power shut off to the box and the TV shut off. I then moved the connector around for another 30 minutes until it finally came back on and we watched some cable TV for about 2 hours. The picture and colors looked great and the TV was very bright. Shut off the TV and had dinner. An hour later tried to turn it back on and it would not power on at all. Nothing was moved or touched. A replacement cable is about $100 aftermarket, but it could be a box problem as well. Do a search on this issue, lots of people have it for this model and some others as well. I am returning it as I can see this becoming a continuing problem. I went with the LG G4 instead.

Picture quality is amazing. It’s a very nice TV and well worth the money.
The set up with the separate “processor” box that contains all of the HDMI in, optical out, etc. is interesting. You can attach that box to the back of the TV, but it will need 2-3″ additional room behind the TV it to make it work. If you’re trying to get it as close to the wall as possible, you’re going to have a cord running to the box that will be somewhere else (bookshelf, TV stand, etc.)
Samsung also has some on-demand video services embedded in the TV software which can be nice depending on the selection. It didn’t recognize the Nintendo Switch immediately, but it does recognize other gaming consoles. I haven’t played around with the “console-less gaming” but it’s intriguing.
I didn’t expect a solar recharging remote but I’ll appreciate not replacing the batteries every 6-12 months.
It’s a reasonably heavy TV (over 60 lbs). You will need 2 people to unbox it effectively. Mounting it on a wall or a TV stand will also probably take 2 people as there’s not a real “frame” around the TV to grip and you don’t want to damage the screen by applying too much pressure to it. Even if you’re a strong guy, you will struggle because it’s awkward without anywhere to grip onto.

Iโve been with OLED since LG released their curved 1080p panels some time ago. Heard all the talk about QD-OLED so I thought Iโd take the plunge.
Not disappointed in the decision.
The UI takes some getting used and the lack of Dolby Vision isnโt a deal breaker for me. Samsungs color volume and features more than make up for it. After getting used to the interface I will say it is snappier than LGs as with them I would constantly run into stutters and lag.
As for screen uniformity? It is perfect. Not a single smudge or faint line or anything.
The speakers are garbage. Get a soundbar or speaker system asap.
One other issue that I am running into is with Dolby Atmos and the Xbox Series X. When running 4k/120Hz settings along with Atmos the sound will cut out every few seconds. For those running into this issue the fix for now is to use Dolby Digital instead or switch to 4k/60 instead. I didnโt have this issue with my previous LG C2 so Iโm hoping a patch will fix it as I mainly use this TV for gaming.
Overall a fantastic screen. The design feels premium and the super thin panel while have you constantly glancing at it.

***Pros*** โจAmazon package delivered with care by two reps. 1.2 cm (.47 inches) thin!!! No ads or bloatware out of the box!!! Did a version update w/ network connection, a factory reset and disconnected it for a clean interface. Immaculate and vibrant image after proper calibration and does not heat up the room. Colors temps and gamut show very well with awesome white balance. HDR10+ stands out. One Connect box form factor is slimmer and provides better Input flexibility.
***Cons***
One Connect Cable is shorter then previous models (12 ft) so plan ahead when mounting. Certified fiber optic HDMI 2.1 recommended which comes with a heavy price. Stock speakers distort with low frequencies (better off with home theatre amp or sound bar). The remote is made from recycled plastic and feels cheap. Good for sustainability but expected more this is dubbed a “flagship” product. Got a stuck / bright red pixel caused by a malfunction in the transistor which allows light through sub pixels. This requires โpixel refreshingโ which takes an hour.
***UPDATE Jan 2024***
Random HDMI signal drops started occurring more frequently during regular media playback and device power up. I would have to power cycle sound bar and TV to resolve each time. Returned the 65″ model and purchased an 77″ S95CA with no immediate issues using the same cables.
