I purchased the ultra to replace my galaxy pro 5 watch. It’s not a night and day difference but if you are a brand loyalist this is probably a worthwhile upgrade. The screen is similar to the 45mm one on my old watch but the square bezel adds some style. I was disappointed when I upgraded from the galaxy 3 to 5 as I had to charge daily instead of every 2 days.. the ultra battery lasts me two days again. Better sensors and longer upgrade runway complete the value proposition. Plus the new larger band and lug arrangement seems to work well.

Great watch but I returned the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra , because the battery only hold for 2 days, even with the last software update L705FXXU1AXFB, With my Galaxy Watch Gear S3 Frontier (Nov 2016) it is good for 2 days 11hours. Will see with the next release next year.

This is by far the best watch I’ve ever had. Most of my experience has been with the no-name Chinese smart watches, but I did briefly own a Garmin Instinct, and I love this one far more than any of them. This watch has way more features and I probably haven’t even discovered 10% of what it is capable of. There are a plethora of apps for this watch from temperature readers to watch faces. It is so customizable it is crazy… every watch face can change the data it shows, the colors, etc… It is intuitive… go on a walk and it recognizes that and gives you a summary afterwards. It is well integrated with Google Assistant and Samsung Bixby… and you can use both. Get instant information anywhere without pulling out your phone. Absolutely amazing technology. Just about the only negative I can think of is that some of the health features are only available if you also have a Galaxy phone, which I do not have. That is not a big deal to me, and I can understand why Samsung would want to link their products. I can’t possibly convey the capabilities of this watch here… but go watch some youtube videos of this device and you’ll see the amazing things it can do… especially if you exercise or want to exercise more as I find this helps motivate me to move more often when I can track my accomplishments. Love it. Thank you very much!

After a month of use, I am frustrated that a bunch of things don’t work since I don’t have a Samsung Galaxy phone. The uninstallable weather app never updates… The ECG monitor doesn’t work… The wearable app sucks and keeps giving an error message that the phone is disconnected… it isn’t.
This watch is an android watch, it should work perfectly on any android device. It doesn’t. The Samsung apps required to use this phone are garbage… crashes after crashes, failures after failures. For the cost of this watch, this is unacceptable.
