Kim –
This works so far. Put it down late last week and the ant beds that were in my yard are vacant. Hadn’t just been outside looking for other insects, but I’m hoping it worked for them too. Not to sure about the weed killing or fertilizer aspect of it. I used a rotary spreader. It hasn’t killed my grass
Jerry Willms –
This is my go to. I’ve used it for years and my yard is the envy of the neighborhood. 🙂
Don Anastas –
I had two bags (5K sq. ft. each) but I’m afraid I only had enough for my backyard and West side of the house. I followed the spreading instructions using the handheld Scott’s Whizz therefore I gave 2-Stars for value.
However, the results proved to be very good. After plenty of very dry weather we finally got some rain and the treated lawn is coming back, the brown spots, some severe, are filling in nicely. The lawn is a Kentucky Bluegrass & Tall Fescue blend. The front yard, which I also watered but went untreated, is not coming back as fast even with some heavy rain.
This product is expensive and doesn’t go as far as advertised but the results are in, and the treatment has allowed the lawn to recover.

We used to have a fertilizer service. Their price was reasonable, but the results were unsatisfactory. When I decided to do it myself, I went solely with Scott’s products. What an amazing difference. Yes we pay more, but you get what you pay for. A beautiful lawn.

Used this product for three years in a row now. Truly makes a green lawn. Truly keeps insects out of yard. Knats, spiders, grubs, etc. Does not work for fireants however, but that’s a separate product that works for that. I used to have to water so often, rotating sprinklers once a week all day procedure. Having 30,000 square feet of lawn, often by the time I got done with whole yard, first part where starting was showing water defiency already. This Summerguard product works so well, I barely have to water at all. Maybe once or twice a Summer. In fact, moisture holds so well in lawn that you MIGHT have to apply a fungicide if it’s been raining often, as mushrooms will start popping up. I love the time this product has allowed me to have doing other stuff in the yard besides water, water, water. Saves money on our water bills. Think of that when you spend money on this product. Went up $20.00 per bag of 15,000 coverage, which I freaked out over….but I only ordered 2 bags this year instead of 3. (used to order extra bag for late summer…skipping that this year.)

I use this every yr on my lawn closer to the end of July. Helps my grass a lot. Haven’t used this exact bag yet because of the date (getting close) but has worked for me ever ur prior
Amazon Customer –
Works well to prevent grubs as long as you follow the directions and apply as directed.
Don E. –
We have a problem….as far as the guarding against heat and drought it’s done the job from that aspect. I’ve never seen my yard this green in a long time and has held up great this summer. But as far as the insect and pest control aspect that’s advertised it has failed me on that part. I know it can’t be my fault as the reason why the product failed for the insect control because all I had to do was apply the product with a spreader which I did as directed using this brands product spreader. Take it for what it’s worth either a money grab with the extra features and benefits it offers or I just have some stubborn pests in my yard.
