D. Whitworth –
I have been putting this down in the fall and do not have any winter weeds all winter until about February, then end up fighting Poa-Annua in the spring. I am still trying to figure out the best time to apply this stuff. It seems that different applications of different products work the best. I used this last fall and 2 different applications of different products in the spring and I seem to have got better control this season. I have heard you can’t have too much of the same thing in the soil at the same time. It may be a matter of getting the timing right. I am going to try to wait until into Nov this year to apply this and see if I get better control into early spring

Eliminated all of my crabgrass. It was so bad last year that I had to buy an extra battery for for my mower just to keep up with mowing it down. I have tried the other brands and they dont work. This year, no issues and a great looking lawn.

I have not had luck in the past with crab grass preventer, but this product did the trick. It is a month and a half later and my grass is a beautiful green with NO crabgrass anywhere. All of my neighbors lawns are full of crabgrass and they all want to know what I used!

I applied this to part of my lawn in early April, though I should have done it in early March since it’s a pre-emergent herbicide. It’s now late June and it’s clear this did reduce the amount of crabgrass in my lawn where it was applied. The crabgrass is completely gone from some areas where it had totally taken over. You can see a clear line between where I applied it, and my neighbor did not.
Where the crabgrass grew soonest (a really warm area at the south of a building) it didn’t work as well, but that was probably because I didn’t apply it soon enough.
My only complaint, is that the application instructions are for a Scott’s applicator, and I had to calculate settings for my spreader.
Bottom line… the entire lawn is getting covered next year in March. Be sure to check their website for info on when to apply in your region.

BUT sedge grass is taking over. Ugh!

Have been using this preventer for years. The price has doubled in the past 10 years but it does work.

It is what it is. Fertilizer!

We have burr grass and it’s painful for animals, it sticks to shoes and clothes and drops off in areas of yard if you don’t check for them. I applied this twice, 3-4 months apart, and it seems to be working to eliminate germination. I plan to use again in a month just to be sure. M
