I had been looking for a plant based bristle toothbrush; seems they are difficult to find.
Came across this Sea Turtle toothbrush set with plant based bristles, and bamboo handles.
Very reasonable price for a set of 4.
I love these toothbrushes!
Description said soft bristles; I have had other toothbrushes that said “soft,” however the bristles turned out to be anything but soft.
I was pleasantly surprised. These bristles are soft, yet sturdy enough to clean, and don’t irritate gums.
First toothbrush I’ve ever used that cleans my teeth very well, yet gentle.
Handles are comfortable to hold, and long enough.
These are now my go-to toothbrushes.

I so wanted this toothbrush to work. Cool-looking and eco-friendly. The bristles are soft enough for teeth and they are plentiful to get nice clean teeth quickly. HOWEVER, the bamboo handle is just too rough/hard for daily use. The wood isn’t any more rough/hard than other bamboo toothbrushes – I just never used a bamboo toothbrush for more than once a week previously until this one when I started using twice daily.
The wood scrapes the inside of my cheeks when I brush my teeth – so my teeth and gums feel great, but my cheeks hurt after using this toothbrush on a regular basis. I understand the manufacturers’ dilemma, they cannot really “polish” it without introducing harmful chemicals into the product and, for wood, it is incredibly smooth – but it’s just not smooth enough for the delicate flesh inside one’s body (ie. mouth). Plastic works, stainless steel would also work (but far less eco-friendly). Regardless, I commend the manufacturers from trying to make a better world and hope it works for others (even though it didn’t work for me).
Lastly, I think my throat may have had an allergic reaction with some part of this toothbrush (bristles, handle, or both), but I cannot be certain of that was the cause or just coincidence. Either way, I’ll stop using this toothbrush and go back to using a plastic toothbrush, but look for one with “fine” or “ultra soft” (“extra soft”) bristles on the label.

I like it and I don’t…
Perhaps I’m too used to the sturdy plastic toothbrushes that these brushes feel weird. I’ve used the bamboo brush each day since purchase and it hasn’t snapped, fell apart, gotten gross, etc. The bristles are soft, but not too soft. They seem to clean well and don’t irritate my gums…so definite plus there. I also use one to clean my retainer, it works well for that. I do recommend trying these for yourself. It’s a good product all in all, but I’m not 100% yet on if I’ll purchase again.

My kids enjoy brushing their teeth with these toothbrushes. They are soft and pretty sturdy (they love to play with them in their mouth too and bite the bristles and other toothbrush that we used in the past were loosing shape by now but these hold up good). Kind of expensive as we change their toothbrush every month but as long as they love it and clean well their teeth we’ll take it 🙂

Wowsers! Finally a bamboo toothbrush with plant-based bristles. There are lots of natural bamboo toothbrushes available but this is the first time I’ve found one with plant bristles too! Usually they are plastic even though they say ‘eco-friendly’. So I am thrilled with these. They are nice toothbrushes too. And nice paper box.

I’ve been using this for 2 weeks now, and it’s showing significant signs of wear. The bristles are just so soft! Think baby toothbrush, and even softer, so they just squash out of shape easily. The head of the brush is larger than others I’ve used, but the wood is smooth and comfortable to use. I still can’t figure out if the bristles are home comfortable or not. I wouldn’t buy them again.

I ordered his product for Christmas as a part of a vow to be more eco-friendly throughout the year, as bamboo toothbrushes can bio-degrade in a landfill instead of taking hundreds of years like plastic toothbrushes. The packing itself is eco-friendly, using plain cardboard and graphic ink. For about $10-12 you get 4 toothbrushes, enough to last an entire year. The brushes themselves are light-weight and easy-to-grasp, and the natural plant bristles are soft against your teeth. The head of the brush is on the smaller side which can be beneficial for folks with small mouths, teeth, or jaws. The only real issue I had with it was the grip. I have small arthritis hands, and could use a wider grip. That being said, it’s a small inconvenience rather than a discomfort, and the small head makes up for it as I can get at my back teeth more easily. I definitely recommend this product for folks who don’t need a bigger head or grip on their bamboo toothbrushes.

They are not hard and I feel like they get a good clean. The wood does not have any grips on it but the design of the handle allows for easy holding
