One item that this is missing is the turn table that most microwaves have but, I knew what I was purchasing when I did, very nice & very easy to install.

My friend recommended this model and has had no issues with her unit. My unit arrived and was stored until the new kitchen cabinets were installed. Box was not damaged, unit is not damaged. Once installed, I couldn’t wait to use the new microwave. The drawer opens and closes smoothly as expected. However, it doesn’t heat. I tried multiple items and then called Sharp. We walked through the troubleshooting steps and water did not heat in the 3 minute test.
I was very disappointed of course. I still had my old microwave thankfully. I have spent most of my working career in the customer service field so I believe in allowing companies to make things right with the customer. We truly all have defects or mistakes at times.
After multiple calls to Sharp customer service – very nice agents and always courteous- I got an offer to have a new unit- same model- shipped and they would pick up the defective model. I accepted the offer but 7 weeks later, still no microwave. Sharp did reach out today and confirm the shipping company is showing the unit lost in transit. They are expediting a new unit to me. I will update this review once I receive that unit.
Update- 4 months later- new unit is working like a charm. Very happy with my purchase. Thank you Sharp for taking care of replacing an initial bad unit, then a second unit lost in shipping. Third time was a charm for me. I finally have my old microwave away 😊.

The handle is loose and, for some reason, if you don’t physically push the door shut tight, the unit doesn’t heat the food even though the unit is running. We had this exact model for 10 year with no problems so I’m guessing that we just got a lemon this time. Too heavy and bulky to return so we’re just careful to push the door tight before turning it on.

We have been disappointed with this product from day one.
When it works, it heats poorly and only in certain spots (as there is no turntable for even heating.)
The heat sensor does not work regularly and it is not uncommon to find that there has been no heat output at all. Just stone cold with no heat residual in the drawer. It is becoming increasingly erratic and seems to be getting worse – we have owned this product less than a year.
Amazon directs you to the customer product support, however there has still been no support even though I have submitted two tickets within the last two weeks.
Terribly disappointed.
***Update two days after posting this review we were contacted by Sharp. Sharp sent a highly capable repair service that diagnosed and fixed the problem immediately. It’s been almost a month and the unit is performing as we had hoped. Thank you Sharp.

We have this microwave in the bottom cabinets of our island. It’s very easy to use, the pull out control panel is easy to see from standing up. Downsides: the drawer opening and closing is a bit slow when you’re used to manually opening and closing; the drawer opening and closing is also kind of noisy – not like the slam of the traditional microwave door, but the riding of the wheels on the track; its SO much more expensive than the traditional microwave. . . Just not sure if its worth it. Maybe if it had convection or air-fry. In hind sight, I wish I had the traditional microwave built into the wall cabinets that kind of looks like a wall oven.

If you think that you liked your wall mounted microwave, think again! I was skeptical, but I’ve changed my mind! This microwave makes life so much easier–and safe! No more spills! Easy to see the progress of the food heating/cooking. So simple to use. Flawless in every way. We just love it!! Worth every cent!
