Well unboxing was the highlight. Got one co2 cartridge through and 2 mags, the next 4 co2 leaked out when I pulled the trigger. I hope the real MCX firearm works better.

Being an avid airgun collector I ordered this bb gun by Sig as the other models of airguns I’ve gotten from them have been excellent. The gun itself is a good representation of the firearm rattler. The issue is with the magazine bb feeding system. After filling the bb slot with bb’s a spring mechanism is supposed to push the bb’s up to be fed to the gun. I was having issues with after a couple shots the bb’s weren’t feeding up, they were stuck. So I tried copper bb’s, black bb’s, silver bb’s, all with the same stuck result. I could sometimes bang the side of the clip and one would feed up and shoot. So I got a replacement gun and unfortunately have had the same problem. When there’s about 6 shots left, the clip would shoot fine. When it comes to accuracy the iron sights weren’t the easiest to aim with, even Sigs pellet guns have better sights. I replaced the iron sights with a holographic sight for much easier aiming. This gun is easy to add custom accessories with the mlok handguard and picatinny rail. The folding stock stays in place and opens to make the gun more manageable and accurate. I mostly used single shot due to not having the bb’s fed and available for the three round burst mode, but it does use a lot of co2 when I tried that mode. Overall if you do purchase this model, I hope you get a functioning magazine as I struck out twice for that very important function.

This thing is cheaply made and should be under $50 if not less. For all the talking this thing up that Sig does, you’d think they would have produced a better product. And for over $100, it could at least not jam up right out of the box or break after a couple magazines worth of inconsistent bb shots. I returned one to Amazon and bought another one at a sports and outdoors store, thinking maybe I just got a lemon the first time, but it turns out they’re all lemons. Funny thing is the quality control when compared to the hype has me no longer interested in an actual Sig Sauer gun, which was previously one of my top choices for an upcoming purchase. But the way I see it is even if they make good guns, they have to know these bb guns are complete garbage, which reflects on their business practices and standards. Sucks, because this thing really does look awesome.

Start with the magazine: spring doesn’t feed bbs properly and co2 leaks out, eats up co2 like no other. Got to make sure the spring is moving up with just about every shot. Have had it less than a week and there have been so many issues already. The slide doesn’t always work and you got to make sure you hear the click when it goes back, it may feel like it slid all the way back but give it an extra little push just to make sure and then wait to hear it click. This has been a big waste of money and they definitely need to reconfigure this setup. I think if they just use better springs (in magazine and slide) it could be all right. Zero instructions come with this but you can download pdf instructions from their website… different but ok.

I will start out with how Awesome this gun looks. It really is a good looking bb gun. I was immediately disappointed, when I went to fire it for the first time. The mag, filled with bb’s and C02. It fired 1 bb and then jammed. I thought, ok, this can happen. I fired again, and no bb’s came out. I pulled the mag and the bbs were jammed in the mag. I put it back in and fired. All the C02 dumped immediately. The whole cartridge blew out. Crazy! I tried everything, and wasted 6 C02 cartridges. And they’re expensive. I managed to fire 9 bb’s. It jammed EVERY time. I sent the gun back, and they sent a replacement. Long story short, it did the exact same thing the 1st gun did. I wrote an email to SIG. and a week later they replied, send it to us so we can figure out what’s happening. So, that was the advise. I returned the gun and decided to not order another. I have a large variety of C02 bb guns. I train with them for my profession as an actor. None of them have ever done what this gun did. If you want something of quality and reliability, i wouldnt recommend. They should pull it and fix the problem before continuing to sell the product. It does look and feel cool. But, not enough to pay $170 for. I hope this helps. I tried everything, and it wouldn’t work correctly. How unfortunate. I asked SIG if they would give me a deal on another, if I decided to give it another try. No response. I even offered to send it to them on my dime. I do have the larger MCX, that shoots strictly pellets. That gun is absolutely incredible. I haven’t had any problems with it what so ever.

A great copy of the Sig Sauer “RATTLER” assault rifle, same size and weight of the 762x39mm in a purpose built AR.frame. The BB gun fires semi auto or three round burst and is lots of fun.
