Do not expect heirloom quality at this price point. This is a decent dining set for the price. Chairs are a little light weight and needed felt pads (not included) to reduce scraping the floor and also to balance a few tiny wobbles.
The table top is not made of wood, it’s veneer and engineered wood but looks and feels like real wood. Care will need to be taken or scratches etc will not be repairable (I’ve ordered a custom glass topper for mine).
Instructions are diagram/picture only and straight forward; assembly took about an hour with two people.
I will mention here that due to poor handling during shipping my original dining table was beat all to hell and needed to be replaced. Amazon customer service promptly sent a replacement and arranged for the damaged one to be picked up from my residence. Even if the original table top hadn’t been cracked and dented, I would’ve had to have a replacement because two different chair legs had misaligned predrilled holes for support slats and slats couldn’t be secured properly, making the chairs unstable and unusable. Nevertheless, the second dining set arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Overall I’m pleased with it.

This product is a decent value for the money…….if you can get past the packaging. It’s an explosion of tiny styrofoam dots everywhere. Our box was damaged in transit leaving it scratched along the edge of the table. They would not replace just the tabletop (Amazon would take back the entire thing , which would have been a real hassle to box back up & return. Ashley would do nothing at all for us ). So we did keep it & touch it up ourselves. It’s attractive & sturdy…………just be forewarned about the packaging itself . We were cleaning up styrofoam for weeks .

This is the second Ashley product I’ve bought from their Amazon store front. First a recliner chair and then this dinning room set. The quality of products is much different than the pieces you would get at their in-person show room. Both of my Ashley items are poor quality, the table specifically being the worst of the 2.
It came quickly and I was happy about the price. The table is sturdy, has a great finish and the countertop height is nice. Unfortunately all 4 chairs are so poorly made each one has it’s own set of issues. All 4 wobble because the legs aren’t level, 1 has issues with the foot rest slats at the bottom where they won’t line up correctly with the legs to make the chair stable, 1 is almost cracked all the way through on the back rest piece, and 1 is warped at a slightly reclined angle so that you can’t sit without falling backwards. The reviews seemed slightly mixed with some people getting lucky and others end up with an unusable pile of broken wood. I took the chance so you don’t have to. It’s not worth it! I wouldn’t recommend Amazon Ashley furniture to my worst enemy.

So the color is beautiful I was trying to match my china cabinet and it came pretty darn close. The table and chairs seem pretty sturdy, I just put it up today because I was still having work done on my house! I love how high it sits up and how comfortable the chairs feel! The only thing on a negative side which isn’t really negative is usually you get these lil round things you can put on the bottom of your chair and table legs to keep them steady, this set didn’t come with those. The chairs have a slight unevenness in them but I can’t say it’s the chairs or my floor is uneven. Overall I’m very happy with it. It’s bigger than I expected but a great fit my kitchen! Also it was very easy to put together as a woman, I didn’t need much help from anyone!

This dining set is exactly as advertised. I am very pleased with the quality of the table and chairs. No flaws or blemishes and the finish is perfect. It took about an hour to assemble by myself with no help. We couldn’t be more pleased.

Its a minimal size what I love the most it doesn’t take up so much room like my old table. The set up took my husband about an hour and instructions weren’t the best so I googled and pulled up better ones. Directions and I don’t mix but my husband said it wasn’t horrible setting it up. The color matches my home beautifullly.

I really like this table. I got it on Prime Day so I got a killer deal on it. It’s really solid and the chairs are, too. They’re comfy and sturdy. The table was easy to put together. The chairs? OMG!!! 3 hours!!! I put 5 albums in my CD changer and got thru 4 of them entirely getting those things together. I didn’t realize a solution until I was almost done with chair #3 to try this. Whatever bonafide moron thought it was a good idea to put blue wax on the screws to make it REALLY HARD AND PAINFUL to screw in with an Allen wrench needs to be removed from their position. So, I took the screws and put them to my gas stove, until Biden takes it away, and melted the wax until I could wipe it off with a cold, wet rag and they went in smoothly after that. But yeah, after all that the finished product is wonderful and I finally completed that room after changing it many times since I bought the house over a year ago.
