Customer –
The leather is soft and should hold up well. The outer fabric is nice. Can’t speak to waterproof as of yet. The gloves are warm, but again it isn’t that cold yet so I’ll know more later. Now the reason for only three stars. The liner situation sucks to put it bluntly. The inner liner is only attached in a very minimal way. If you pull the gloves off and don’t pay attention to how, you’re going to have a problem getting them back on. The liner will get in the way. If your hands sweat in the gloves, that liner sticks to the wet skin and really can cause a problem getting them back on. If the liner had been attached completely or at least in more places to keep it in place these would warrant more stars.

certainly not as advertised.Supposed to be good to minus forty. Fingers got cold clearing snow at minus one. Where were they tested? Florida maybe

I live in rural North Dakota. It can get really cold here; really cold. The thermometer outside my kitchen window read a steady Minus 30F with a slight breeze when I field tested these gloves today. Modern technology that works. It isn’t very often that I would go outside in minus 40 as the gloves are advertised but I walked for just under an hour in my normal sub zero gear and my hands stayed absolutely toasty. I am 5’11” 195 lbs and the extra large are perfect for me. Large would have been too small. Lightweight good value in my book.

Nicely hot and keep your finger warm even if your not moving that much.

Couldn’t believe the price so I thought I’d try these. I ski 50-80 days a year and usually go through 1 pair of gloves a year – then they become snow shoveling gloves. I like gauntlet-style gloves and have usually gone with all-nylon from Marmot, Outdoor Research or similar, which are usually 2X the price of these gloves. In my opinion, these are well designed/executed, have the features I want (including the loop that secures them to your wrist to prevent the drop off the chair). They are plenty warm/no leakage, the lining material slips on and off easily. After 15-ish days of skiing, no seam failures. The deerskin is looking a little “rougher” in the wear areas but no signs of imminent failure. Would definitely recommend.
Protein Powder –
Initially, when you put them on, you feel really warm but they aren’t the best at wicking away the moisture from the inside to the outside surface so you end up getting more colder if you’re doing something that is more practical like skiing etc. Maybe having a gortex-like material at the top layer would’ve helped this product out because it is really smooth from the inside and comfy.

So pound for pound these gloves are about as good as it gets for a motorcycle winter gloves without going heated. I have 5 pairs of gloves, 2 of which are winter and these are amazing. I wish that Skyedeere would put a thin layer of wind protection more on the tops of the fingers, but overall great gloves. They feel thick and bulky on the bike, but within 10 minutes of riding you get used to the thickness and you forgot about them. Great buy for bike riders for the winter months! I have tested these for about 2 months now and they are amazing. Ive riden as low as 28 degrees outside (negative wind chill on the bike) at 85mph and they work great. They will never compete with heated gloves, but i think these are as good as they get without buying heated.

Bought a pair a few years ago and wore through a few finger tips with tough outdoor work. Would have preferred longer lasting but really only a few finger tips leather wore through. Liked the awesome warmth – these are the warmest gloves I have found down to the teens. Really like the long wrist coverage too. I don’t know how you can beat these for the price.
brenda –
Plenty of finger space, very warm, easy on/off and waterproof

So, first the bad. These gloves provide ZERO dexterity, haha, so if you need to do anything even the least bit precise, you will have a very tricky time. They also provide no touchscreen sensitivity, but they’re not marketed as such, so no biggie there.
HOWEVER. These are easily the warmest gloves I’ve ever worn. I’ve spent the last 2 days on a bike for 6 hours in below-freezing temperature, and my hands were perfectly warm (even a little toasty) all day long.
If you need some super warm gloves and aren’t needing to be dexterous, I recommend these gloves 100%!
