Worked exactly as I was hoped it would. I was able to hang the shoe organizer on 4 screws in the wall of my closet. The fabric was easy to mark and cut for the rod (see photo). I did not use the hooks supplied. This replaces 2 shoe organizers that hung directly on the closet rod. Saves quite a bit of space in the closet. For $17, this was a great buy for the space and purpose. I would purchase another if needed.
Pockets are deep. Ankle boots easily fit. Yes, you can definitely use this organizer for items other than shoes.

We have a very small landing, so our shoes ended up becoming a tripping hazard on our basement steps. I was looking for a solution and picked these organizers. I hung them on the wall in the basement stairwell with nails instead of over the door and it has worked great!
They are compact enough that they don’t get run into when walking down the stairs, and we can fit all the shoes we need (4 shoes per pocket, excluding my husband’s larger tennis shoes we could only do 3). They definitely look cheap, so I don’t think it will be a permanent solution, but for now it is serving it’s intended purpose.

With any “over-the-door” holder, the strong “hangers” “show” on the outside of the door. Just open the package and hang! Good value and easy to hang.

I did not expect to be writing a glowing review of a hanging shoe rack but here we are. My previous shoe rack gave up the ghost after our recent move and collapsed onto the floor in a sad heap. I decided to replace with this one because my husband wears a size 12 shoe and I thought it might offer more room to store them. This thing is great, and sturdy! 4 strong metal hooks for over the door (instead of the 2 cheapie ones the last rack had.) Plus enough room to store my husbands shoes, our boots, even some hats & gloves. My attitude toward shoe storage is forever changed.
