This is my cats’ favorite toy. Wish that it was available at a cheaper price. It seems to be a hard to find item. Bought several from walmart a few years ago, but it has not been available for sometime now. Get it here.
I have one that is missing its antenna, all but one of the big back legs, and is starting to split. It has lasted for a few years. Crick-it sound is semi functional, but still works — kind of. Have found this in their water bowl a few times. Likely that is the reason the sound is not as good. Dry it out and they play with it again.

This toy is a winner however the one I received did not work. The battery must have died before shipment. That’s the one issue with pet toys of this nature because most of us just don’t have the time to go through the headache of a return . But the one I purchased previously from a Pet store is a blast and my cats get a big kick out of it. So get one but be aware of the disappointment of ordering online. I must have had 4 or 5 items over the Christmas holiday from various vendors where the battery was DOA so from my personal experience this is kind of common.

My cat is into toys that light up or make noise. At first, he sniffed this cricket and walked away, but in 3 days time he had decided that this cricket must be in his line of sight at all times. Now that he’s had a it a couple of weeks, he brings it to us on the bed super early in the morning, and wakes us up by jumping up and down on it to make it chirp chirp. Or he takes it under the bed with him and I have no idea what he is doing with it under there but all you can here is thumping and running meowing and chirp chirp. This would be super cute if it wasn’t happening at 3:00 – 4:00 am, so we’ve had to take it away from him at night. It’s a winner for our cat, that’s for sure!!

Thank you for replacing the defective one. My cat has had five of these in five years and it’s his very FAVORITE toy! He loves this thing and I don’t know why. He plays and chews the heck out of them and I have to buy another one but it does take awhile. They’re really well made and he gets excited when he hears it chirp like a real cricket. I know these are for cats but I buy these balls for my bird – small Conure – as he loves them! This ball just makes bird tweeting sounds, quite melodic and not too loud, not all the animal sounds like the babble balls, so it is quite pleasant and not irritating like the other ones. I have had it a few weeks now and it is used every day. I am glad to say the batteries are still going as I do not know how to change them in this one! The delivery from the USA was a lot quicker than the estimated date.

My only issue is it doesn’t seem like they make this anymore, which I don’t understand because everyone I know who has gotten this toy for their cat says it’s the cats absolute most favorite toy. Bought one for my 6 week old kitten and she took to sleeping on top of it or snuggling up with it (so cute since it was about the same size as her). My older cats didn’t show much interest, but it has been the littlest one’s constant companion. Went on and bought a back-up right away for when this one gives up the ghost. Had to pay more, but since it’s already starting to look ragged and she’s only had it for a month or so, I’m glad I paid the extra just to have a spare on hand. The cricket noise can get a bit annoying in small spaces since it goes on for a bit, but if it keeps her from attacking my feet, I can put up with it.

I have been wanting this cricket for a few years. I do have a cat and thought he might like it but I actually bought it more for myself. There are no crickets where I live now and I really miss their chirpping. It is a well made toy.

The first one I got didn’t chirp loudly or easily. I contacted the company and they sent me a one time replacement. The new one is great. It chirps at a slight touch and it’s pretty loud. The cat loves it. When I pull out the toy box to rotate toys he runs over and grabs this one out. The customer service I received on my bad one was excellent. Highly recommended toy.

Our Mr. Kitty got his Crick It, as a Christmas present. First warning,once you take tab out for use, that’s it…it’s on & no going back. It made hiding it difficult, the dogs and cat were all frantic looking for whatever was making this new noise as I was wrapping presents. It’s a pretty decent cricket toy sound. He loved it so much for maybe a month, he gets sick of toys pretty quick, therefore that is a good long time for him. He played with it, pounced on it, rubbed it on his face(that’s his signature move) and threw it and caught it again. That chirp chirp was driving us a little crazy in the beginning. Wish we had hid it at night, that’s your second warning. So far it has held up. It really needs an off switch, I would pay more for this with an on/off switch, maybe volume control and a way to change batteries. I am looking to buy him a different style, and see if he likes it too.
