This meter actually works. I was about to send it back and write a nasty review but then I read the directions. The meter will work if you insert it 3/4 into the soil. It will not work with just the tips or a small section. Is it the most accurate? Probably not but it did give me a reading that I confirmed with litmus paper. I’m monitoring soil ph for my blueberry plants and I wanted a quicker and easier way to measure than soaking litmus paper.

Moisture and pH meter work great. However, light meter does not really measure indoor natural lights. Does not move the meter even though its bright inside the house. It works outside if its under direct bright light but if used indoors, it doesnt really work.

No hobby gardener or landscaper should be without this gadget! I’m highly impressed with it! The probe is fantastic but as importantly, the little information booklet that comes with it is very well written and informative. Read over it carefully and do not through it away. Keep it to refer back to when using the probe it has a red/green zone plant section in the booklet that lists common plants that grow well in certain ph soils. I will definitely cherish this sensor for years to come. It will help me tremendously in my flower and veggie gardens!

I found this device very helpful in determining the PH of my soil. Once I adjusted PH of the soil, my holly bounced back and is now looking much healthier. The moisture meter is very helpful as some areas in my yard seem to hold water more than others. I use it on houseplants even though it says the prongs should be pushed very deep into the soil.

Pretty good price. Moisture meter seems to work fine. Light meter also works but I can see if the sun is shining or not so no big deal. Ph meter only goes up to 8. Most soils are near 7 neutral, so it will measure acid but not much alkalinity. Hard to tell if it is on 7 or 8. I put it in water and added a drop of vinegar and the meter moved into the acid range. I wanted to measure my soil that startred out at a 10. I have used the litmus paper and got the soil down to 9 by use of sulphur. I thought this meter could help me, but since it is max at 8 there is no use.
