This is the battery used in the Sony RX10-IV, which is the camera I have. It works well. The “InfoLithium” feature communicates the state of charge with the camera, which can then display it.

Tried the cheaper aftermarket and have to say I would pay more for OEM battery. the cheaper ones don’t last as long and you’ll end up carrying two or three aftermarket batteries while you can invest the same money for one OEM battery

I have several of these as extras for my Sony camera that are generic brand & they don’t last very long at all. I bit the bullet and ordered the Sony one, since that was the case, and the Sony blows the cheap ones out of the water. Lasts WAY longer. Should’ve just gotten the name brand to start with, apparently. Sharing my lesson learned.

Sony batteries are well made and works well in my Sony cameras. I can use one battery all day while taking pictures.

Seriously, the risks with lithium-ion batteries make it unwise to buy knock-offs. Get the real brand for your device – in this case Sony branded batteries. They’re safer, and they last much longer.

I do not like paying this kind of money for batteries, but based on multiple
after market brands I have used original brand names do appear to hold charges longer,
not only while being stored but during use.

What can I say, they’re Sony brand batteries. They work reliably and charge at a decent speed.

I purchased the sony battery for my Sony A6000 camera. Previously I purchased “Off brand” batteries and they lost their ability to hold a charge after several uses. My original battery was the sony and that seemed to last much longer so I am back to sony. I gave 4 stars due to price. It cost 2-3 times what the other batteries cost. It is a lot of money for a single battery. So far it is hold a charge and working better, but I’ll see how it does over time.

There is no argument on the longevity of a Sony vs cheap battery. If I have learned anything in my years, don’t buy cheap stuff. My original Sony battery for my A6000 is still gong strong, but the LAST (#5, I write the number on them to rotate thru in usage) of the cheap batteries will no longer hold a charge. #4 is on the way out, and #2&3 are slowly catching up.
Please, you spent all this money on a good camera, buy a good battery.
    Thanks.
