I wasnโt sure what to expect when I ordered this speaker. The reviews were good but you canโt always trust reviews, good and bad. I bought this to take on vacation so we would have music at the dock on the lake. Testing it out before we go and this thing is amazing. I canโt believe how good it sounds for the price I paid. Quality build, good weight and size and the volume is incredible for its price and size. I am very impressed. If anything changes after a week on the water I will update my review but I expect to continue to be impressed based on what I have seen and heard so far.

I’ve always been a JBL guy because of the superior sound quality, clarity and bass you can actually hear. Music is 10x better when you have a good speaker. I was looking to upgrade from a JBL flip to a charge 5 but didn’t want to spend $180-$190 if I didn’t have to. So after googling and researching more than anyone probably should, i came across this slightly larger SoundCore waterproof speaker. *The only reviews i take seriously are thru non biased sites. I’ve only had this for less than a week but I am very happy and impressed with the way it sounds. My true position on this speaker is an overall 5 stars due to the value and quality. I still think JBL has a lil more clarity and overall sound quality, BUT this SoundCore speaker is slightly louder than a JBL charge 5 and it definitely has more bass and very little to no distortion on any type of music even when cranked up to 80%. Haven’t tried all the way up yet, I have neighbors and it’s pretty damn loud. Bottom line is you cannot beat it for the money. I saved $60-$80 i would’ve spent on a JBL charge 5 and it’s got more bass, louder, good battery life, and really good quality sound and clarity. Plus it has a bass boost and lights that go with the beat, you can even switch to a light show with different colors. I don’t regret my purchase ans would do it again.

Ive read alot of reviews about this product before purchasing it watched videos and couldnt wait to order it and it arrive. Well every review i watched talked about how good it sounded how the bass would bump. Light to carry and easy with the handle. And how loud it got. So when it came i had high expectations and it lived up to everything i had heard and read. Seriously very impressed with this speaker. I own about 50 bluetooth speaker jbl, bose, tribit. To name a few and this kept up with all them and surpassed some of them. For the 129 it cost its well worth the price. It is plastic but its solid doesnt feel cheap and when u hear it and play with the light effects through the app. It does exactly what a speaker should and does it well. This is my first speaker through this company but it deff won’t be my last.

So I purchased this for 2 reasons. 1: As a replacement for my home outdoor speaker system that just went out. 2: Play my drums along to. The first need was met overwhelmingly. The sound quality is outstanding and carries across my big backyard. Next I went to play my drums with it positioned at my back and it didn’t play loud enough to hear over rock drumming. I very bummed by this because this seems like a good quality speaker but I think I need to get something a little more powerful.

Iโve owned a Soundcore product and even had an early generation Anker product when the brand was known as Anker across all their products. I always felt the company was closer to striking the balance of quality and affordability. I think the Soundcore Boom 2 nailed it. Itโs not heavy, itโs not struggling to fill a space with sound and allow me to hear most of the frequencies that help round out music, it has decent bass performance, decent light features, strong battery life, and the app is actually awesome!
I would consider the bigger brother to this speaker, the Boom 2 Plus or whatever itโs called because Iโm so impressed with the value. That said, I should probably stick with this as itโs more portable and suits my needs fine.

Bought this little blaster for camping and using around the yard. I was wondering if the bass would be suffice and it ROCKS!! I was looking at the JBL Party Cube because of its bass quality and richness but this little speaker is plenty for my needs and is way more light and portable! It is plastic but it has a nice, solid, durable feeling in your hands.
I had this jamming at a loud volume during the day and when my camp mates were all in their tents (and I was the only one poking the fire) the sound in the lower volumes are rich and clear without disturbing my camp or others.
I was away for 2 nights and 3 days and had it on whenever we were at our camp, about 40% of the time, and the power was down only 25%! Been to a BBQ and played it around my yard the last 2 weeks and still havenโt charged it and Iโm at 40% power! I can still get a full charge for my phone from it if I wanted!
The light effects are cool (though I keep it off to conserve power) and the fact I can and other soundcore speakers and sync them together is amazing.
If you are hesitant about buying this, donโt be! I was but now itโs the best $90 spent!! Do it!

I love my Anker products. I have other Soundcore items.. Flare. RaveMini. The Flare is nice & portable-good sound. The RaveMini is clear & loud. I wasn’t expecting a whole lot out of this Boom2… maybe a step up from my worksite DeWalt bluetooth speaker.. but WOW, was I amazed! This lil’ Boom2 is comparable to my RaveMini tower. I think the Boom2 may even be louder! The RaveMini is definitely deeper in bass, but this lil Boom2 isn’t far behind! I may buy a 2nd one for using when portability is an issue (RaveMini is tall & heavy). Overall- excellent sound, ease of portability, and the app lets you control the EQ.. 5-STAR
