Dude, this little 3x4ft overhead rack is a game-changer for my garage! No more dodging that avalanche of boxes every time I want to park my car. This thing lets you lift all that forgotten junk. Overall, this is a sweet little rack for anyone who needs to declutter their garage. It’s not gonna win any beauty contests, and you might need to dust off your finds every now and then, but for the price, it’s a total win.

My husband helped me hang this in our garage, which does not have a finished ceiling so it was very easy to install. This feels very heavy duty and sturdy. Definitely has helped us organize our space a bit more!

Easy to assemble, the real trick is installation. I got this for my shed to store a bunch of totes. So far no issues, great place to put those seasonal items up where you can get them, but out of the way. Feels really sturdy. I would worry about the shed roof before I worried about this failing

Installation: I managed to install most of it by myself, but having an extra pair of hands when connecting the bottom was essential. The instructions were straightforward, and the process wasn’t overly complicated.
Weight Capacity: The rack claims a 400 lbs weight capacity, but I’d recommend staying well below that. I mounted my bar clamps underneath to save space, and while it held up initially, I noticed some give when I applied minimal pressure to secure them. The fence crossbars even bulged slightly.
Durability: This is where I have reservations. The powder-coated finish is scratch-resistant, waterproof, and rust-resistant, but the overall durability might be questionable. If you’re planning to load it up close to the weight limit, proceed with caution.
Adjustable Height: The best feature is the adjustable height. You can set it anywhere between 22 inches and 42 inches from the ceiling, giving you flexibility based on your storage needs.
I might be crazy but initially I believe it said 600lbs capacity but as I write this review it now says 400lbs. Not sure if this was a typo by the seller or realized 600lbs was a false statement and corrected it. Either way, after I install any overhead storage units, I hang on it to make sure it is sturdy. I weigh a little over 200lbs and this didn’t come crashing down. Make sure you are in the center of the joist, and you won’t have an issue.

My handyman recently installed a competitor’s 4 x 8′ garage rack, so we were familiar with the routine. All the parts were included, and all fit together well. I set the height off the floor at about 6’2″, so most folks could walk under it.
The real challenge is finding the overhead joists, as not every ceiling has perfectly spaced joists. A 9V powered well respected stud finder couldn’t find the joist. He had to go up in the attic, and attach a 2 x 4′ to a joist to anchor the bolts in, on center, in the new 2 x 4. Fault to shoddy builder of my house!
This is best a 2 person job when it comes to lifting the frame to the arms, as it’s otherwise awkward. The competitor’s rack also said their would hold 600 lbs. This is of much lighter steel parts than the competitor’s heavier steel rack, so perhaps 500 lbs max is a safer load, especially if you park a car underneath this-you don’t want a loaded rack landing on its roof.
It’s not fair to take off a point for this, as it may very well hold 600 lbs.
To be sure, let 3 200 lb. men hand off your installed rack to test it!
As this fit a narrow 3.5′ space just fine, it’s good for the price-I’d buy another if I needed more rack space.

This product is heavy long before you add any storage. Instructions are difficult to follow but we were able to muddle our way through it.
