Solid metal construction and seems to work well. Wanted to use with my older TV USB port, but had to reformat it to NTFS first – came with exFAT which was not recognized by my TV. Then it worked. Not sure why it heats up fairly quickly and becomes quite warm, (my other 500 GB thumb drive doesn’t do that). Perhaps the metal case allows for heat dissipation?

Imagine an SSD drive that fits in your hand and downloads files in record times. I downloaded over 500GB of information in well under 8-minutes. I purchased a 2TB and several 500 GB drives from this same company. I’ve got 3 of them on a keyring, which is super convenient. To think you can carry an entire backup of a computer in your hand is wonderful. They do run a bit warm when downloading large amounts of data. In addition, these are robustly manufactured from metal…not cheap plastic. this is a company that cares about its products, and subsequently, its customers. A rare company in the USA age-of-plastics world.

So far I have really enjoyed this SSD. It’s perfect size and works great for work. I have to constantly save large configuration and software files from customers. Not having to wait 40 minutes for 1gb file to transfer is great. Takes less than 30 seconds. I used this to also backup my other SSD 275gb of files. Took about an hour to transfer. I have recommended to all my co-workers and would recommend to the rest. I really like the key chain holder. Makes it easier for me to access while on a customer site. Time is money and getting this SSD saves time and money.

I purchased this so I could watch videos and listen to music while flying. I hate having to pay for wifi on the airlines which is spotty at best just so I can watch a movie I have bought already. It’s like having to buy my videos and music twice. This 1TB stick holds almost 100 videos (movies) and 500 songs in my play list. I’m no longer at the mercy of the airlines and I can enjoy MY movies and MY music MY way. I’m now entering the area of “end of the line” on my SSK 1TB stick. I’ve had this USB SSD for less than a month and I’m noticing a lag in my response time and loading time for videos and music play lists. No worries, I’m going to upgrade to the 2 TB version to put nearly my entire video and music play lists on file. I didn’t think my data would take up so much room so fast, but it’s putting a strain on the 1TB stick pretty quickly. My advice….Get the 2TB stick in the first place. That way you’ll never have to transfer all your videos and music play lists over (which is a pain the a**). Both sticks are of superior quality and will serve me well for another year or two. They don’t get hot (like some people stated in their reviews) maybe they are just touch sensitive. Get the 2TB version and you can’t go wrong. I trust my entire video library and music play lists to these sticks. Get the 2 or 3 year back-up warrantee just in case (for reference).
