I recently ordered the SSK USB SSD External 512 GB Solid State External Drive to backup and move files from multiple computers. The amount of memory available in solid-state form is great, and it has made a world of difference in storage for me. What I particularly love about this external drive is that it comes with both USB-A and USB-C connectors. This is incredibly convenient as I often switch between a PC and a Mac. With my Mac only having USB-C ports, having this option allows for seamless connectivity across my devices.
Another aspect that drew me to this device is its construction. Unlike many external drives made of plastic, this one is crafted from metal, giving it a premium feel and sturdier build. This is especially appreciated since I often use the keychain holster feature to carry it with me. Upon opening the package, I had no trouble transferring files and accessing the drive immediately.

This isn’t a true 512 gb. It’s 476 after it’s formatted with FAT32. So you’re actually 36 gb short of 512. My computer had no trouble recognizing this ssd and copying files into it. It actually went really quickly. This has a USB on one side and a USB c on the other side.
I tried plugging it into my phone with the type c end and my phone case got in the way so that convenience isn’t happening for me because I have a case on my phone for a reason. I’m not taking it off to plug this into it.
The keychain holder is a nice convenience if you need it for travel though.
Overall, this is a functional and portable ssd that does what it’s supposed to so it’s not a bad way to keep a backup of important files.

This is my absolute favorite flash drive to date. It has as much memory as my old desktop, and in solid state form. The transfer speeds are incredibly fast, and it is easy to transfer from my iPad to an Android device, to a Mac or Windows desktop. It can be used to backup any hard drive, or can safely store media for playing in the car, a separate speaker, or any other device which uses regular USB or USB-C. There are very inexpensive USB-C to lightning adapters as well, so if you purchase one of these, it can be used with older iPhones as well. It has weight to it and is made of metal, making it apparent that it is durable and high quality. I am amazed that such a small device can be a 512GB SSD! And there is also an option for 1 or 2TB, which I will definitely be purchasing in the future. The last 1TB backup drive that I purchased and used is at least 7 inches tall, 4 inches wide, and 2 inches deep, and I donโt believe that it was SSD either! This little piece of hardware is very ahead of its time, and the price is also extremely reasonable.

For a thumb drive this thing is fast! It came with a nice little holster that can be attached to a key ring. The metal is very robust and I was impressed with how heavy it is in my hand. Some people may think thatโs a downside but to me it feels like quality. I love that I can have 512gb of fast storage on me at all times.
