SunShader 3 New Laptop Sun Shade

Devastated. The clips on this item crushed my mac screen. The idea of the shade is great, but the clips are too tight, and the screen is now ruined. $800 to repair

I was impressed by the fact that the SunsShader keeps the sun off both the laptop screen and the keyboard. Which allows me to work outside for extended periods of time without my computer overheating like it did in the past. It clips onto my laptop easily, although I’m concerned that the plastic clips seem like they may eventually break. Time will tell. Overall, the SunShader works as stated, but the price is a bit steep for what you get. If the price is not an issue for you, I would definitely recommend.

I often work on my laptop from my hammock, and while I love sitting in the sun, I often can’t see the screen and worry about it overheating.

This is easy to clip on and there’s no chance of damage, as another reviewer suggested. It keeps my screen and most of my keyboard shaded so I can work.

It’s a little bit awkward in my lap, and sometimes needs adjusting, but it’s so easy and lightweight. This is exactly what I was looking for.

I really like this sunshade. I’ve used another one that was aluminum, but it was rigid and attached with magnets that barely held on, and also was rough on anything that was added to the laptop bag. This shade is a bit more flexible, and soft so no worries tossing it into the bag. This uses clips that securely fasten to the screen and makes for a solid hold.
When using the clips make sure to press to open them before sliding them onto the screen. This will prevent any issues of excess pressure on the screen.

Great for getting some fresh air, and still typing boring emails!

I recently got my order for a very unique product. A way to keep your laptop cool and in the shade when you’re out in the sun and the glare is typically intolerable. Especially in Los Angeles where it sunny most of the time (yet I wrote this on a rare rainy day here. Go figure). When I first saw this and I tried it out, I felt a lot like I was one of those NFL referees looking at a replay of a controversial call in the 4th Quarter. That’s what is looks like. It’s a pre-assembled, so it’s just a lesson of learning how to get it on. They provide a YouTube clip for instructions, which was great because I couldn’t figure it out on my own. It is a bit tricky to get the flap on top and its hooks, and the clips you have to really be precise. But once you do, it works. My only real issue beyond that is the clips on the left and right really don’t connect to the side of my MacBook, but I’m thinking perhaps I bought the wrong size? Still I could get the clips to touch but not snap. Still, this is an excellent idea that just needs some refinements.

I mean, £50 for a flap of rigid card is obviously a complete rip off, but it 100% does exactly what it says it does, and there’s not a more reasonably priced alternative…so I’d still recommend 🙂
