I keep this First Aid Kit in my truck at all times. It has almost everything I need for emergency situation when I am traveling. The best part is that it is well organized and labeled. The last thing you want to be doing in an emergency situation is fumbling through a bag looking for the items you know you need. This kit puts labels on each pouch and has it organized with the type of emergency you might encounter. It also includes an easy to use emergency guide book and several items you don’t normally see in a prebuilt emergency Kit. Highly recommend based on this.

As far as quality, I have not been able to test the full waterproofness of the case yet but it seems to be hold up to getting water splashed with no water getting inside. Case also seems well built and like it will last me a long time.

The company itself seems great too, my kit came with a free extra item (one of those credit card multitools) which has come in handy, as well as, an offer for another free item in the mail at no cost. They also reached out to me personally once I received my items to make sure I was satisfied with everything. It’s very refreshing to see a company that goes above and beyond for the customers. I will definitely be purchasing more from Surviveware.

The only con I see is the zipper can be hard to open quickly. I tried several times to quickly pull it open and it kept getting caught at the first turn. After a few tries it seems better. I don’t know if that is because the zipper broke-in a bit or I just got used to the angle of holding it to make it work. This was only when trying to quickly open it as fast as I could. Under normal use it was fine.

The one change I would do is have the words “FIRST AID” on the front with a more traditional first aid logo. I understand that most people will associate the red coloring and the first aid-ish cross shaped logo with a first aid kit but I have also had people see it and ask ‘what is that?’. Having more traditional first aid kit identifiers might make this a more effective in emergencies.

Overall it’s a great kit. Fairly sturdy. Great waterproof kit. The waterproof zipper is a bit tight for me, my wife struggles a bit with it, and there’s no way my kids could open it. Other than that the only complaint that I have is that the Velcro panel on the back isn’t staying stuck together. I pulled it apart one time, there’s no dirt or debris in it, but when strapped on, any bump while walking and it rips halfway off. Likely just a defective component but still a major issue if it’s strapped to the outside of a backpack or the boat or something. I would recommend this kit. (It’s actually my third Surviveware kit.) The site won’t let me do half starts but I would give it 4.5 stars. I can’t give it a full 5 only because of the Velcro.

I bought this for it’s size, promised quality and the durable, rubust & “Waterproof” looking ‘all in one’ tough carry case… For me it’s more ‘water-resistant’ (as family oft. leave the zip gaping a tad)… & it delivers!! (It’s way over priced but also the best executed ‘ready made kit’ I can find). Includes some well thought out aspects: the ordered & clearly labled mesh compartments, a big plus. The ‘Quick Ref. Guide’..etc… BUT the Big point is, no selection of items, pockets or lables will ever be ‘Perfect’ or ‘Complete’ for all poss. emergencies, situations,.. or non crucial treatments I can envision or plan for!!.. else the kit would end up the size of a small ambulance if so!.. It’s mad me thinking well it shoulda, cudda include an Xxx? or a Yyy?!! As much for ‘Health&Safty’ and peace of mind I often carry (& use) it: forestry work, on the quad, in the car, on camping, boating & such activities, i’ve added many items and there’s space for some of these extra bits in the bag. ie. some more ‘burns’ kit (as someone is often scalded or picking up hot embers), sharp needles & thread for splinters or stitching wounds, a propper tornique (just in case), Small Bot. of TCP solution (easy clean) & more wipes, Vasalene, Plasters (lots of), Wasp Spray, some antihist., Spray on skin, Ibuprofin, Paracetamol, AloeVera, Camomile ointment.. I’d like more room but where do we stop!? For these essential, but date-limited, extras I bought another smallish, semi-transparent (so easy and quick to see), totally ‘waterproof’ sailors’ type roll-up bag!!.. haaha no, no not some transparent Supermarket shopping bags!?..nooo? Hey! but they’re really cheap hygenic & cool too!!. cheap but not so durable…

We bought the Surviveware Waterproof First Aid Kit for on our boat. If you are reading this you are researching Waterproof first aid kits (we were in the same position as you doing our research). Probably like us, you’ve looked at several others maybe not even waterproof, and seeing the price tag compared to 90% of the others and wondering… We came back several times to this one, looking at others, looking at the company website and a range of other things. With one question in mind .. is it worth it .. YES !!

Let’s start with the quality of the case, RUGGED / DURABLE and WATERPROOF. Its small enough to store and carry around (it won’t fit in your pocket like some other that are pictured bigger than they are). Reviews have mentioned the zipper… please its waterproof, its snugger to open than a normal zipper but with some wax or chap stick its relatively easy to open. The inside has clearly labeled compartments for all included first aid accessories. There is also an area for personal and other medications. All well laid out and easy to access.

Then the contents; its very complete. We read reviews of it not containing items such as ointments, pills and other PERISHABLE items. These are picked up for a few dollars at your local pharmacy or supermarket and you know you have YOUR brand and they will still have a long shelf life. However the items included are not your typical as cheap as it can get items that we saw in other kits. High quality band-aids, gauze and other items are included that you know will work (we have all seen the band-aids that don’t even stick) when you need them !

Its an absolutely First Class First Aid Kit and would definitely recommend.

I’m a firm believer of being prepared for anything. As the saying goes “it is better to not need it and have it, than need it and not have it” this kit is priced low enough to be easily affordable and has everything you will need for almost any medical emergency until you can get proper medical care. My only suggestion is getting a rhino rescue tourniquet and watching a few first aid videos (prep medic has great video, including one on tourniquets on youtube). This is the perfect kit to keep in your car as well if you do not have one already. Even if you do, some items may be expired depending on age so this kit can be used to restock your current one. All in all, you can’t go wrong with this restock kit, it’s a must have for sure.
