Was a little hesitant about making this purchase but I was very pleased how fully rounded the sound is. Especially, coming off of a piccolo that was tight and compressed, this snare is solid and cuts through the heavy guitars and bass. Best part is it looks cool 😎
Edit: I wanted to add, I used a Remo Ambassador with Puresound 30 wires and I have it tuned table tight. It’s tight and responsive with such a great sound. Didn’t think possible at this price range.

This is a beautiful snare drum with good features at a more reasonable price than most that compare. Tried 1-ply and 2-ply coated Evans heads and the “Mighty Hoops” won’t take the strain of trying to crank it beyond a certain medium-low tuning. But a very pleasant surprise is no steel snare drum ring. Sounds really good in it’s range but not at all versatile imho.

I think this drum sounds great but after trying multiple heads I believe the top hoop is warped because no head will set correctly

Amazing looking drum, and played with aggression is super loud!! But also sounds great lower volume, im in a metal band and also a two piece band, sounds great in both bands, cuts through the guitars in the metal band and rings through to fill the gaps in the other! Did i mention it looks great?!
