For those looking or may not know, this is 100% meant for a practice pad, not a heavy snare drum. I’m not sure why this page markets it as a snare stand, it’s quite deceiving and will not perform as well as an actual Tama or other professional snare stand. Just look at the features, since they aren’t listed I’ll explain what you’re looking at in the pictures…

-Single braced legs and and thinner tubes for lighter portability,
-Toothless basket angle adjustment for fractional degree placement (without teeth it’s much easier to adjust your basket angle without having to loosen the wing nut, great for switching between traditional and matchstick grip)
-Extended tube option included to allow you to stand while you practice
-180° rotated basket so only one claw is facing you rather than two and shorter claws that won’t get in the way of your sticks while you practice. Also, the rubber claw pads can be removed and rotated for better grip on smaller pads.

These are excellent features for a pad stand and other than Drumeos pad stand (which I’d also recommend) they are really the only pad stands on the market, and are both excellent.

Lightweight and portable design, easy to stuff in a backpack and while it’s not as durable as a snare stand that’s made to take the abuse, it’s still much nicer than any of the stands that come in the kits sold on Amazon, I can confirm. Again, this stand is meant for up to a 12” practice pad, not a heavy 14” snare drum that you’re wailing on lol. Not saying it won’t work with certain snares but it certainly won’t hold up as well over time and can imagine it being very shaky.

    Hope this helps.

Pretty good for the price. A little shaky, not super adjustable, but I don’t really have any complaints.

Perfect for the gigging drummer! Lightweight and strong. Now you probably aren’t going to get much love posting a picture of this on the internet because it is basic. Now the Ludwig Pro Atlas stand, that puppy you would post. That is basically a swimsuit model but actually a snare stand. The Tama stand is like the girl that helps the dumb kid with math. In the long run, a lot less toxic.
