My one downside to these is the fish and crabs eat the middle first and leave the outer ring often, which is an issue to water quality, but overall they do work well and it all eventually gets eaten. They work best if you put them in the water and hold them for a second before dropping them, otherwise they float all around the water column and don’t want to sink where you dropped it, but if you hold it, and get it wet first it will drop straight down.

These large sinking wafers for plecos & algae eaters. They ate all real algae so I started feeding cucumbers and lettuce. These are easier. They are too large for my goldfish to snag on the way down BUT the goldfish LIVE for them once on the bottom. Drop them in plants and near rocks in pond so piggish carp can’t steal them from intended.

I have a mystery snail for my kids to watch swim around, or whatever they do. Scoot around? Anyways, we tried some other algae wafers from the pet store, and they were a good option, but a little pricey. I think I paid about $8 for a small bag of about 200 pieces. Each piece was about as big around as a pencil. This bag of algae wafers are much bigger, and a much better value.
