The blu-ray set looks great, the artwork is perfect! It’s a shame there’s no 4k set. From what I understand all or most of this series was shot on film, so this may not be the final transfer. We all know how that goes. I appreciate the way they made the box as compact as possible without risking damage to the discs. They are on plastic “pages”, 2 discs per page. My only issue is that the digital code is for fandango at home (vudu) only and does NOT transfer over to iTunes. It’s 2024, I really thought we had worked this out by now. I watch everything on Apple TV, so this not being in my library is a downer. I hope they work out whatever licensing issue they have going on, so I and many others can watch one of my favorite series within the Apple TV app. Picture and sound quality are excellent for a 1080p transfer with a 5.1 mix. The audio is very evenly presented with no overly loud music or sfx blasts, so there’s no need to constantly adjust the volume. They did a great job of targeting the correct area for the sound to come from, adding to the tension and immersion.

Creo no hay nada qué decir sobre TWD que no se haya dicho antes, todos tenemos nuestras opiniones de los altibajos que tuvo la serie del cómo comenzó, en lo que se convirtió y el modo en que concluyó; así que me enfocaré en la presentación de este boxset que trae la serie completa.
Cuando lo recibí no lo vi tan mal, ya había visto algunos “unboxing” de este set, y que todos los discos estuvieran en estos plásticos sin chiste se me hizo una buena medida para ahorrar un poco de espacio, además que no disparó mucho el precio, el problema aparece cuando estos plásticos están únicamente pegados con algo que parece cinta adhesiva, no hay otra cosa que los mantenga unidos y en algún momento a esto se le va a terminar el pegamento y más pronto si su boxset llega como el mío con estos plásticos sueltos y tengan que despegarlos y andarlos uniendo de nuevo para que estén todos bien apilados y alineados; sí les falló la presentación en este punto.
Todas las temporadas traen subtítulos en español. Solo las últimas temporadas traen doblaje latino.

I love me some Walking Dead.
Yeah, it had it’s ups and downs, but all-in-all this show had a great 11-season run relative to a lot of other shows. This 1-star isn’t about the quality of the show, it’s for the SERIOUS issues with this “Complete Collection” series set.
***The Biggest Problem?***
Odds are, your set will be missing discs. I wish I’d read reviews before buying this set, because this was already a reported issue and as of the time of this review it’s still an issue in the stock of this set on Amazon.
Now, you might get lucky and get one where the set had all its discs inserted correctly. But the one I received was missing 4 discs (S1D1, S4D3, S7D2, and S10D1).
Those are bad odds, and other buyers experienced similar missing disc problems.
***Additional Issues***
– The binding of the set is basically a strip of tape holding a bunch of plastic disc trays together. If you’re a fan and expect to be rewatching this a lot, that’s going to become an issue.
– This Complete Collection isn’t even much of an improvement space-wise on the shelf. This thing is massively wide, they clearly did think too hard about a smart way to store the discs and reduce the profile of an 11-Season Series, and the plastic tray system they DID end up using isn’t great. Compared to the original Blu-ray cases the individual seasons came in, the trays used in this set are a big step DOWN not up, and considering this set doesn’t end up saving much shelf space beyond the original Blu-ray releases, it might not be worth the upgrade.
– No New Special Features – Comparing what’s on the supposedly “Special Edition” discs in this set, there’s nothing to incentivize an upgrade. They’re just the original Blu-ray release discs with a new red and black look to make the entire set look uniform, but it’s all the same stuff on the discs.
– Digital Code for complete collection (via VUDU/Fandango) “expires” on October 17, 2024, so if you’re reading this after that date, your code may now be useless. MAYBE – Lionsgate is better than some other studios when it comes to still honoring digital copy codes.
So while I someday hope to pick this up, I’m holding off until AMC figures out its production issues.

Read a few reviews to check the discs for repeats or defects and I’m happy to say they’re all in perfect condition. Arrived in great condition and the box is one that stands out on my shelf (in the best way).

This Blu-ray version plays perfectly, unlike the DVD versions that are available, which I’ve had nothing but trouble with, and had to return. This set is top quality discs and a very fair price. The only complaint I have is about the quality of the inner disc holder. The plastic disc holders are held together with tape, and it falls apart very quickly. I removed the tape which keeps them from being held in place but that is only an issue when you have them out of the box. They could have done a better job with the quality of this, but other than that I could not be happier with this set.

Excellent series. Mainly writing this because the disc holders actually hold the discs AND arent difficult to get the discs out to the point your afraid the disc will crack. This is how all multi disc sets should be done!

I am happy with this set for the most part, no it isn’t 4k, big deal. The discs are stacked 2 to a page on each “book” style housing unit. The cardboard style paper that works as the covers for the 2 books is very thin and flimsy, so think of it as a paperback book if you want this set, don’t expect it to be a hardbound book type of set ala Mad Men or the Aliens Anthology. Other than those 2 minor things on my end I think for what it is, it isn’t as bad as people who haven’t even received it say it is. The box that houses the 2 books is a nice hardbound book style quality so that is great, it’s all the seasons in one box and it’s fine for me. I only ever had season 1 & 2 on Blu Ray previously, so I didn’t have all the other seasons individually. Like with everything, someone’s gonna love it and someone’s gonna complain 😂
