First thing I’ll mention is that I received a used/returned unit, which was very obvious. Everything was there and other than a label that was slightly peeling, it was a fully functioning working unit. I can’t blame manufacturers for reselling all the stuff that’s RMA’d due to inexperienced computer builders.
I’ve used at least 3 of these in recent builds and all continue to work well after 9+ months. Only complaint is that some motherboards have two 12V EPS connectors (CPU) and this PSU only has one. In practice it makes no difference because most motherboard/CPU combos don’t need the second connector, but it would be nice to have the second one installed.
I love the sleeved multi-colored & ketchup/mustard wiring, it makes diagnosing PCs so much easier. Nothing worse than diagnosing all black wiring and having to look up connector pinouts to see which one is which. I use these PSUs for customers, and I don’t like modular wiring because they might need to add something in the future, which in that case you’d have to leave the extra wires connected anyways for that purpose.
I used to buy another brand for these types of builds (obviously these aren’t high end gaming systems) that is no longer available, but this has been a great alternative for the price and has a gold efficiency rating. Zero complaints so far, and very quiet while in use.

I had a Thermaltake 600W power supply for a few years and the fan was giving me some issues. I like the brand and this one was a bit more powerful at a reasonable price. The cabling was good. The dimensions listed in the description are for the box it comes in… not the power supply itself. I checked the manufacturers website before I ordered this one from Amazon. The power supply has the normal dimensions for an ATX format. The unit is fairly quiet and I having been running all day for several days now with no problems. The plugs are all black, not colour coded, but they are clearly labelled. If you have swapped out power supplies before you should have no problems. If this is your first attempt then maybe take some pics with your phone before you pull the old plugs off the motherboard.

Very ergonomic, completely modular, and easy to use. As with most PSUs, the cables are a little shorter than some desire; however, I have a full size ATX case and found the cables to be the perfect length. Very sleek look. It’s quiet and unnoticeable during gaming (as a PSU should be). Very happy.

My old cheapie grey PSU died after 7 years so I was looking for a reasonable replacement for my old desktop that could be useful if I decide to upgrade.
This PSU not only draws 90% as many amps for 2x the output wattage as my old inefficient PSU but its almost silent. In fact I cant hear it over the other fans in the case.
Its not modular but doesnt claim to be, for me I could easily tuck the extra wiring in the top of the case out of the airflow. The wiring did come with nice sheathing.
The only concern I had was the main 24 pin and one of the sata plugs were a little bit of a tight fit, they did plug in though.

I recently upgraded my gaming rig’s power supply to the Thermaltake Smart BX1 750W, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with its performance, efficiency, and overall reliability. This power supply unit (PSU) has proven to be a robust and well-engineered component, providing stable power delivery to meet the demands of my high-performance gaming system.
One of the standout features of the Smart BX1 is its ample power output. With a 750W capacity, this PSU effortlessly handles the power requirements of my gaming rig, offering headroom for potential future upgrades. The consistent power delivery ensures that my components operate smoothly, minimizing the risk of power-related issues during intense gaming sessions or resource-demanding tasks.
The modular cable design is a significant advantage, allowing for a clean and organized build. The ability to connect only the necessary cables reduces clutter within the system, improving airflow and contributing to a tidy interior. The cables themselves are of high quality, with a durable and flexible construction that aids in cable management and installation.
The Smart BX1’s 80 PLUS Bronze certification is a testament to its energy efficiency. This PSU optimizes power usage, reducing heat output and minimizing energy wastage. The result is not only a more eco-friendly system but also one that runs cooler, contributing to overall system stability and potentially prolonging the lifespan of connected components.
The cooling performance of the Smart BX1 is commendable. Equipped with a quiet and efficient 120mm fan, the PSU maintains optimal temperatures during operation without generating excessive noise. The fan’s smart thermal control ensures that it operates only as needed, striking a balance between effective cooling and a quiet computing environment.
Installation was a straightforward process, thanks to the well-documented manual and clearly labeled cables. The inclusion of necessary accessories, such as cable ties and mounting screws, further enhanced the user experience. Thermaltake’s attention to detail in providing a user-friendly setup contributes to the overall satisfaction of the purchase.
Thermaltake’s reputation for quality and durability is evident in the Smart BX1’s build. The components are well-crafted, and the overall construction exudes reliability. This sense of dependability is crucial for a component as vital as the power supply, providing peace of mind that the PSU can handle the demands of my gaming setup.
In conclusion, the Thermaltake Smart BX1 750W is a solid investment for gamers and PC enthusiasts seeking a reliable and efficient power supply solution. With its ample power output, modular cable design, energy efficiency, and dependable build quality, the Smart BX1 offers a well-rounded package that meets the demands of modern gaming systems. If you’re in the market for a trustworthy PSU that delivers on both performance and value, the Thermaltake Smart BX1 750W is a commendable choice.

Used this for a budget build recently and after a few months its been running flawlessly! Thermaltake’s always a good psu to go with for most builds. If you can afford a higher quality you should for future proof sake, but this will get your system up and running for sure. Definitely reccomend.

Very easy to install and good price for quality PSU.
I can’t wait to test out the AMD RX 6750XT with it.

The area I live uses Type G for power plugs/sockets. Type G is f.ex. used in the UK and looks like three (3) rectangular prongs.
The power cord of the PSU I received has a Type B plug. Type B is f.ex. used in the US and looks like two (2) flat pins and a round pin for grounding.
The product description does not mention the socket type of the power cord. The technical details do not mention the socket type of the power cord. How am I expected to know this?
I have not been able to build this PSU into my PC yet because of the above issue, so this review does not comment on the quality of the PSU just the cable. I have to buy a substitute power cable myself.
