The bowl is good quality, the parts that attaches to the mixer is plastic and the paddles in the bowl is plastic, does not work well. The bottom of the bowl gets real cold, you pour in your ice cream liquid and it solidifys at the bottom and the plastic paddles wont turn to make ice cream. What is the point, I do not think I will get my money back, I will have to buy another ice cream machine, not like this one for sure.

SO I am on a warpath against most commercially made ice cream because it all has too much sugar and other junk in it, so I decided to start making my own. This attachment is perfect because I can make a small batch and know exactly what I put in there and I can control how much sugar goes in as well. I really like that it is a bowl for my mixer and that I don’t have to have a whole separate device just for ice-cream. The bowl itself works flawlessly and I have absolutely no complaints. It’s is well made, sturdy, fits the mixer well and it’s super easy to use and to clean. Ice cream comes out tasting great and is the perfect consistency. So far, I really love this purchase.

Honestly it’s great. I am stingy with glowing reviews but this has worked great the several times I’ve used it and it made good ice cream that we enjoyed thoroughly. It was easy to use but it doesn’t require that the attachment be frozen good – I put it in about 24 hours before I used it, I think at minimum doing it overnight is needed. Much cheaper and great option than buying a new ice cream machine if you have a kitchenaid.

Good quality product, fits the base of my mixer just fine. It works as promised, looks as shown, and came with all the parts. Makes only 1 batch of ice cream before needing to go back in freezer, which is same as the KitchenAid product it’s replacing.

I like this product because I dont need ONE more appliance. I like the way it just attaches to my countertop mixer as an attachment. The only thing you need to remember is that the bowl needs to be kept in the freezer (overnight) before you can use it, No impromptu ice cream making. Overall, this is a great product.

It IS important to follow the instructions or you will have frozen ingredients that cannot mix. Also, good luck figuring out how to attach everything the first time. It took me 4 or 5 tries before I realized the churner part is held on by pressure, I don’t feel like that was clear in the instructions. Also, the picture looked backwards from how you actually have to slide the churner on.
But, once I got it going, I followed the instructions on adding my ingredients, and it churned….. and churned…. And churned… well, the “small batch” I mixed up with as probably almost twice as much as the thing could actually cause to freeze. If it were not summer, we may have had better luck. I definitely plan to continue to use it, it will probably just be a single serving for my family of 5 type batch.
All in all, if you’re wanting homemade ice cream for a group or family gatherings, just get a regular ice cream churned. If you just want to have homemade ice cream at home sometimes, this will definitely serve that purpose.

We have a 6 Qt KitchenAid and I have been eyeing this attachment out for a while. I like how easy it is to use with my KitchenAid. I just followed the instructions for my Ice Cream Mix and was able to get a nice and smooth ice cream from scratch. I would recommend putting the mixture in the freezer for a bit to get colder, but the quality of the ice cream makes up for the wait! I did attempt a strawberry sorbet too and everyone loved it! Such a great attachment that makes the summer even better.
