It’s easy to assemble. It’s plastic, so it’s lightweight, but don’t drop it or knock it over. It doesn’t tilt up far enough to look above. But for kids, it’s a decent introduction to a real telescope.

Got it for my boyfriend as a gift and he loved it – it reminded him of a telescope he had as a kid! Very easy to set up. It can be a little hard to find a tall, steady surface for it, but it’s very lightweight and easy to move around. On a clear night in downtown, we were able to see Jupiter – haven’t had the right conditions to see the moon just yet, but that’s next! Overall, makes for a really fun solo or partner activity. Wish there was a little more guidance for which lenses to use in which situations, since we are complete beginners!
