I happy with it. All outlets work. Tripp lite has never given me any issues in the past. Everything is as described, 8 ports, 8 foot cable, and has a right angle plug. I’m using this in my living for my home theater. I like how the lights are not bright, unlike some of the newer ones that can light up an entire room by themselves. It is about $10 move then the others on Amazon, but if you are plugging something important into it, I would suggest spending the extra money and getting reputable one like Tripp Lite, APC, Eaton etc.

I’ve purchased Tripp-Lite Surge Protectors from Amazon in the past and have always found them to be reliable and well-designed, with outlets well-spaced to accommodate normal 3-prong plugs as well as bulky plug-in transformers. I’m using this Protector for five devices on a desk, including an LED desk lamp, pencil sharpener, rechargeable wireless telephone, laptop charger, and USB hub for the laptop (three with plug-in transformers and two with plugs). The heavy-duty power cable on the Protector was long enough to reach the nearest outlet to the desk.

We picked it up at the Post Office and decided to go for an ice-cream and open the package, while sitting on the bench by the river the surge protector slipped out of my hand and started floating down the river. From the few seconds I had it in my hands it seemed pretty solid.

It should do what it’s supposed to. I chose this brand because the surge protector has to. Where I live PGE power is temperamental. In the last outage I lost my main expensive smart battery charger. Lucky I was able to eventually repair it as I can’t offord to replace a $800 charger (I paid less than 1/4 that). It was a small diode and in another circuit and electric capasitor. I suspect that because I had the charger plugged directly in to the wall is how it was damaged. And if I had this surge protector, then it would not had happened. Most everything I own is plugged in to a surge protector. And this battery charger is the first divice killed since I began using surge protector instead of power strips. Save the hassle of replacing your electronics. Not all surge protectors are the same. Buy only name brand types. If it said noise protection too. This is likely a good protector. Buy and use surge protectors.
