First of all it’s BLACK. Anything it touches will turn black; hands, wheels, paint, applicators. DO NOT apply in sunlight, the product get sticky and smears everywhere with bad results. When used on cool surface out of the sun the results were a great uniform deep dark finish that lasts.
There is some cleanup after. I used it on my tires with good results, but had to get any excess of the wheels. Use with gloves if possible, it will take some scrubbing to get off your hands. A little detail spray on a towel will clean the product off paint and wheels fairly easily. The applicator will need to be thrown away after, so be prepared for that.

I have a 2002 chevy avalanche and it came with grey moldings. I bought this product thinking it was clear and I have tried about 4 other restorers on my truck with very short time results. As I applied this product after half a bumper it was going to come out black, so I went on. since mine was originally gray it looked streaky and said what the hell, let’s give it a second coat and I was shocked with the results. I have had a few people tell me I did a wise decision in painting it black and it looks great. I did have to buy a second bottle to cover the 2 coats on my truck (top, sides and bumper) but it was a lot to cover. it has been about 3 months and still looks good.

I put this coating on the front bumper step and it is working fine, looks good and does not bubble up in the rain.
I have put it on the back bumper step and it continually fails, twice now, fails within a day.
I thought surface contamination even though I scrubbed it with dish soap and a scrunge the first time and it failed to stick. Second time used more aggressive cleaning alcohol IPA, but it refuses to stick to the plastic. Then when it rains it forms a rough raised texture that can be scraped off with fingers. It seemed to dry a little sticky too on the rear bumper. I think the thing to do is use an adhesion promoter and black flat bumper paint instead of this coating. So far just wasting my time with it. And I found Chemical Guys wet mirror finish glaze rubbed in and wiped off when dry restored the black cowl plastic very nicely and it survived the rain, I might try that on the back bumper before using paint.

Super disappointed with this product. I have purchased product twice I already the first time I let the product sit in my front porch for a bit so it was in the sun so I thought maybe it got damaged right since it was on the ain’t idk..so I bought it again and as you can see in the video those are the results I got the second time around same results I got when I first bought it..super streaky and you have to apply multiple layers I kept trying to apply it but it would come off..I used a small microfiber towel and that’s the results u got..not only that this is more of a small layer of paint not a dye you could clearly see small layers of paint in the picture pealing up..I will be retaining this product and going with a different one..I have also tried “the black stuff” and it got better results with that only reason why I tried this product was because of the price

I absolutely cannot say enough about Turtle Wax ceramic wax. If you search on youtube for that product you will find some objective tests that will show beyond a doubt that the ceramic spray wax is amzing.

So, when I saw this product I had to give it a try. I have an FJ Cruiser with a lot of black plastic. I have used other products and they are good but only last a month or so. I bought this and applied it as directed and honestly it lasted over one year in the worst winter conditions. Pretty much the same results as the ceramic spray wax. One bottle was more than enough to do my FJ as well as a friend’s jeep. The only mistake I made was not taping off the paitned areas and not wearing gloves. The prodcut comes off the painted areas (if they are waxed!) with some effort. The hands – another story – lots of goop and pumice. IT was like a ceramic shell of black encasing my hands!

The trim restorer is AMAZING – would recommend to anyone who has a lot of black trim to keep protected.

Easy to apply, covered the white spots from baked on tape. Very happy! Turned the rubber to look new!

Had to do multiple passes and still couldn’t get half the result I get with the turtle wax trim restorer (regular one with green bottle). This review is after degreasing and prepping the trims.

this is really quite impressive stuff!

I bought my daughter a 2011 Peugeot 107 as her first car – it was a low mileage example so the paint is in great condition and looked like new after a machine polish – the issue (with all the 107 / C1 / Aygo) cars of this age is badly discoloured plastics.
i have a lot of products in the garage but they either didn’t seem to make much different or they looked ok until the next rainfall and then ran off and usually made a mess of the surrounding paintwork.
I applied this with a little bit of cut-off foam sponge to cleaned plastics – the result was instant – a nice satin black finish – it needs spreading around to ensure coverage and i gave a 2nd coat after a few mins as per the instructions.
Hopefully you can see in the picture how radical a different it made – its really restored them to new.
after it been on the car for a month in all sorts of rainfall (it lives in the north of England so plenty of rain!) and it still looked great. In that time it had one hand car wash which also didn’t affect the look or finish.
at the 5 week mark the car was filthy and i gave it a wash with quite strong traffic film remover and a pressure wash – this has made it streak a little, but to be honest it was to be expected – i’l happily re-apply it.
in summary – easy to apply – looks like new – lasts well.

one note – DO wear gloves when applying – it will NOT come off your hands very easily at all – likewise be careful not to over-apply over paintwork or it can leave a “painty” looking mark too

Firstly it’s a stainer and not a transparent liquid, if it’s on clothes it will be permanent. My cars plastic parts were turned into white because I used 3m trim restorer and those are extremely bad products.
But turtle wax graphene is very unique it stays on plastic and forms a layer it’s effectiveness is excellent since it’s not coming and fading even after 7 days of continuous rain and wash.
They should have provided a applicator which was not present. I have applied on cleaned and dry surface, and normal dry surface without even cleaning to test and frankly it just creates a layer over the uncleaned surface and stays strong.

For great effectiveness I believe one should apply 2 coats I have applied a single coat with haphazard manner yet it turned out good since frankly I never expected it to last after wash. But it did stayed.

One thing I would suggest is use sponge/ cloth But wet it before hand and then add the liquid else the stains goes right in sponge/ cloth and doesn’t stick to plastic and thus causes streaks like shown in one of the picture shown above

Used this on my 2007 Jeep liberty, good product for price, better then the wipes. A bit messy, so use gloves..!!!! Be as careful as can and clean up on surfaces with alcohol asap, harder to get off when dry. Took 2 coats to get my desired black level. Recommend applying even and circular to avoid swirl look. I buffed mine in when dry with alcohol mixed with baby oil to blend. Hope this helps!

I have an old generation two Prius that continues to run well even though the car itself is faded and not as sharp as it once was. I tried restoring the trim with Cerakote wipes which worked really well on my Bimmer. The Prius remained old and faded but shiny. I used this and the trim looks like new. It took all afternoon and is very, very messy and annoying to use but it works. Quite happy with the results.
