I picked up this set for my 14 year old son who is a lover of building blocks. He’s a fast builder so I hesitated on getting this because it was a little on the pricy side for only 1100 pieces. I ultimately thought it looked super cool so grabbed it.
This set came in a vibrant box with detailed pictures and info on it, which is always a plus. The instruction booklet was very easy to read and use. Only a step, or maybe 2, per page so the instructions were larger and easy to see how each block went together. It was a lot of fun watching my son build this from the base up and it transform into what it is. The blocks were well made and fit together really well. He didn’t have any problems with things not fitting or staying together. What is really cool are the bumper cars and how they are interactive and move about. The gears and motors work so great and the cars are magnetic to the base. What a cool design! My son had this together in less than a weekend but looking at the end result made the purchase all the more worth it. He had a great time building it and it’s such a fun design in the end.
My 14 year old absolutely loved this set and I would highly recommend it for any builder out there. You don’t find many interactive sets like this. Definity a fun find!

I have a Lego city with the official ferris wheel and scrambler sets in it. When I saw this, I needed to add it to the collection so I ordered right away.
The build was pretty easy and straightforward. The instructions were clear and it wasn’t too difficult.
There are a few areas it could be improved and one BIG thing you need to watch for. In the instructions, it shows you how to put the tiny magnets into the base and the cars. PAY ATTENTION and do exactly like it shows. If you do, it works. If you mess up like I did and have some of the magnets flipped, the cars don’t move and cause traffic jams.
The drawbacks – number one, it’s LOUD. The chain isn’t as well made as real Lego parts, so it’s stiff and jerky sometimes going around inside the base. This makes it quite loud. Plus, there’s a bunch of gears touching the big top base and the bottom, amplifying the noise. I might try swapping out the chain, but I’m not sure that’s really the issue. I think just the design (hollow base with the mechanism inside) causes it to be really loud.
Number two, there’s no easy way to get to the inside if the chain jams or comes apart. It’d be nice if they’d made the upper part of the model attach with just a few studs and lots of tiles (like the floors of a modular building) but this is built solidly. That makes it easier to move but harder to maintain.
Number three, the battery box is just stuck on the back of the building, not hidden at all. That’d be pretty easy to modify. There might be room to leave a hole in the back and put the battery box inside the base, or it could have additional parts used to make a wall around it. In my city though, I’ll wire it to a power supply and avoid the batteries all together, so I don’t really mind for my use case.
Overall though, this set is a winner. It looks good and it works well. As long as the noise isn’t a problem it’s just fine.

Disclaimer. I have not yet built this kit so my observations are pre-assembly. So I cannot speak to how hard/easy the build is or whether you might have problems during the build, e.g. missing pieces or how tightly the pieces fit together.
Typically these building kits quote how many pieces are in the kit. For this kit that value is not available, not in the amazon write-up, nor on the box, nor in the instruction manual. What I can say is that these are standard “Lego” size pieces; not mini. They arrive in three large sealed bags numbered ‘1’, ‘2’ & ‘3’
Large sealed bag ‘1’ contains nine smaller sealed bags, two 2X16 plates and one 6X12 plate. Bag ‘1’ pieces are used for assembly steps #1 through #59, pages #2 through #36.
Large sealed bag ‘2’ contains six smaller sealed bags and four petite ropes that hold corner bumpers (see step #65). Bag ‘2’ pieces are used for assembly steps #60 through #111 pages #37 through #56.
Large sealed bag ‘3’ contains six smaller sealed bags, one 6X10 plate, four petite black ropes that hold the fake colored lights (see steps#117 & #118) and four vertical column/support pieces. Bag ‘3’ pieces are used for assembly steps #112 through #149 pages #57 through #78.
Loose in the box are 26 small small magnets: 5mm diameter X 3mm long. They arrive attached end-to-end to each other. On manual page #1 it states, “When installing the magnet, pay attention to the direction in which the positive and negative poles of the magnet are installed”. This does not mean that you need to know which end of the magnet is ‘North’, only that you need to be consistent with their orientation. You can arbitrarily denote either end as north or south (red or blue as they denote in the manual). Just be consistent throughout the build.
On the back cover of the manual it shows a photo of the ‘battery box’. It refers to the box as “Lithium Battery Box”. There are no lithium batteries included. You need to supply your own six Alkaline AAA sized batteries. You will need a small Phillips head screw driver to remove the two screws from the base of the box so you can install the batteries. Six AAA batteries at 1.5 volts/battery = 9 volts needed for the 9 volt motor.
Manual pages 79 & 80 show the placement locations for the decal/stickers which are on the 6-1/4” X 7-1/4” sticker sheet. Each sticker has an associated number that is reference on pages 79/80. The stickers are very colorful.
In addition to the three sealed bags of pieces, one battery box, one motor, magnets, and one small pin/axle piece, there are eleven plates that are loose in the box along with one 10” X 10” flat plate on which the bumper cars rest.
