It’s doing the job for my entry level 6th grader, but the strings get lose more often than normal and it needs to be tuned every single time. Good learning experience though!

This review is for Vangoa’s most expensive 4/4 violin model offered on Amazon. For a beginner instrument, this one has a surprisingly good sound quality. The violin is nicely made. The maple stripes are spray painted. Most importantly, it has a great tone: good projection, nice, balanced sound: neither too bright, nor too mellow, the different strings are balanced well. The bridge is not the best, but it works. The bows are OK and the other items included are functional too. The case is nice. The only thing which could be improved is the shoulder rest: it is not easy to fold and is uncomfortable. It took some time until the tuning pegs stayed in place, I guess the instrument needed to settle to the local climate. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised, for the price I wasn’t expecting such a good sound quality.
Having listened to YouTube sound samples of the usual beginner violin brands at similar price range (Cecilio, Mendini, Cremona etc. ), this Vangoa violin sounds better or just as good as those. I couldn’t find much info about the Vangoa, but it seems that it is a relatively new offering and it seems that they take seriously quality control.
For a moderately priced yet still very nice sounding violin, I highly recommend this Vangoa product.
