I honestly didn’t expect much, but have to say I’m kinda shocked by the value and what this thing actually does. I got a cold sore out of the blue on Monday. I took Valtrex, but was out of denavir cream, so I checked amazon to see if they sold it. No dice, but I saw these RLT gadgets so I figured what the heck. I don’t think I had a specific reason for buying this particular brand/model outside of the fact that it seemed pretty popular. The build quality is very good, and the light is incredibly strong, even if you’re not looking directly at it – wear shades when using.
UPDATE – so following Sunday, my cold sores are petty much healed. I used it through Saturday. I had a bit of splitting/bleeding the last couple of days, but everything is fine now. RLT is the real deal for cold sores. Recommended.
This came after work Tuesday (next day) as my cold sore was already well underway. I did about five 1 minute treatments Tuesday after work, another 8 or 9 1 minute treatments Wednesday, and 3 treatments this morning. It definitely works better than the denavir. The blisters are healing faster, and crusting is almost non-existent. Also, no bleed splits/bleeding, which make healing take so much longer – I’ve been using a little bit of cortibalm between treatments.
You can feel it working while you’re using it. It tingles a very tiny bit, almost like there is some sort of super gentle cauterization going on. If necessary I will post an update, but at this rate I expect the sores to be gone by Saturday. I wished I had this when I first noticed the blisters.

Product functioned well for three months then Failed to operate. I judge much of a company on how they deal with problems and they did a fine job with this one. All they asked was I send them a brief video showing the inoperability and they immediately sent me a complete new one that arrived within days. No issues or hassles. That’s how all companies should work!

I bought this to held with Burning Mouth Syndrome pain. First, it was high maintenance to sit with this thing on my tongue and second, I didn’t notice any improvement in my pain. I used it for almost 30 days. It might work for other things but for BMS, for me, it did nothing.

I am really liking the display as easy to select exact mode and timer. It is helpful to see countdown of time left for treatment. You can select up to 90 sec time. This works great for more sensitive areas such as face and mouth. I haven’t needed eye protection as long as careful when starting and it will beep when treatment done. The timer and sound is a nice added feature. I also like the charging base. The plug light will display will change to yellow when charging.

I’ve really been into red light therapy and I added this to my collection. I find it works for small areas like pain in my mouth or ears. The controls are somewhat easy to work and its nice and compact. The price is pretty comparable to similar devices as well. I like that is has a charging base because its easy to charge, but also a good place to store the unit. It’s also pretty powerful so you have to be careful as it isn’t a toy. But it does work really well.
