Victiv 82″ Heavy Duty Camera Tripod Description

For photographers and videographers, having a reliable and versatile tripod is crucial. The Victiv 82″ Heavy Duty Camera Tripod is designed to meet the needs of both amateurs and professionals, providing stability, flexibility, and ease of use for a variety of shooting scenarios.

Adjustable Height Range

The Victiv tripod extends from 23.5 inches to 80 inches, allowing you to capture shots from a wide range of heights. Whether you’re shooting at eye level or need a lower-angle perspective, the reversible center column facilitates optimal positioning of your camera among the legs. The legs are equipped with flip locks for quick and easy height adjustments.

High Quality & Flexible Design

Constructed from aluminum alloy, this tripod is both lightweight and durable. It features a 36mm aluminum ball head that can rotate 360 degrees, offering strong wear and corrosion resistance. Additionally, the tripod includes three built-in bubble levels and two quick-release plates, ensuring a comfortable and precise shooting experience every time.

Perfect for Travel & Work

The Victiv tripod is designed for portability without compromising stability. With a storage size of less than 16.5 inches, it is more compact than similar products on the market. This makes it an excellent choice for outdoor travel and shoots on uneven terrain, as the tripod legs can be independently locked into place at three different angles.

Extremely Strong Load Capacity

Equipped with thickened leg tubes, rubber feet, and metal spikes, the Victiv tripod boasts a sturdy construction. The head features a 1/4″-20 screw that can support a wide range of equipment, including cameras, webcams, binoculars, mirrorless cameras, telescopes, and DSLR cameras weighing up to 30 lbs. For added stability, a spring-loaded hook allows you to hang a heavy object from the bottom of the center column.

Multi-functional Monopod

One of the standout features of the Victiv tripod is its ability to convert into a monopod. A foam-cushioned, removable leg can be attached to the center column, transforming into a full-size 80-inch monopod within seconds. This versatility makes it suitable for one-handed shooting or as a trekking pole during climbing or hiking.

This is a sturdy tripod. The pivot is slightly flaky, but overall it works really well for the price.

Height of this tripod is a great feature but that’s about it. Centre columns don’t stay tight when tightened and this is a huge concern for my gear. I returned this and found something that was more suitable for my needs.

The media could not be loaded.

I got this to replace an Aureday tripod that I loved. Unfortunately, as great at the Aureday was, the plastic head snapped off. A buddy of mine had previously let me borrow his Victiv tripod, so I had a sense for what I was getting into.

There is a lot to love about this. First, it is all aluminum. Second, it comes with an extra quick release plus attachment for a phone. It is super flexible, including being taken apart as a monopod, the rubber feet come off if you are filming on turf, and the knobs really do release the head to allow you to adjust angle as finely as you want. And it gets pretty tall — around 7 ft.

There is no handle to facilitate panning. That’s a bit unfortunate for me, but again, I knew what I was getting into.

My one long-term concern with this is the mechanism for locking the legs in place. Because it is spring loaded, it seems like this is the kind of thing that could get loose in the future with no real recourse to fix it. It is also a bit awkward to release the locks to get it back into the storage position. Moreover, this locking mechanism is also part of the reason why you really need to make sure that your legs are all fully extended away from each other to make it as level and stable as possible. Unlike the Aureday, for example, there is not a stabilizing set of connectors between the legs to ensure that they are all equidistant. I gather the Victiv chose not to go this route because they wanted to be able to hang a camera from underneath the tripod top to support macro photography.

The bubble levels are VERY slow and very small. But they seem to work

I got this Tripod to switch off of the EOS rebel T6’s bundled plastic tripod that comes with any kinda “kit” version you can buy. (specifically, mine was provided alongside the camera by my college, BUT you can buy various kits with the T6 that includes the cheap and easily broken tripod.) This thing is a league ahead the stock tripod and super luxurious. I thought the orange looked nice in product pics and it -does not- disappoint. My only complaints is the lack of a locking feature so the legs don’t just crumple in on themselves if bumped (and in the small space I take product images, it get’s bumped a fair bit) it does lock, but only keeps itself from opening further, not closing inward.
additionally, one of the side bubble levers doesn’t work. it just sticks to the top of the alignment tube. Not a big deal since I don’t have any reason to be shooting on perfectly level ground in my use case, something to be aware of if you want like, very fine and accurate leveling.
The ball joint style pivot for the camera itself is really good. the twist knobs work great and don’t require much force to keep it dialed in, and you can keep it a little loose and move the camera around, let go, and it still hold it’s place while you move to lock it in further in case it gets bumped. I love this so much, the stock tripods come with a little fold-out flap you can only tilt forward for angled shots and the locking mechanism broke like day 5 so it had two technical positions, forward or straight down towards the floor.
You can take angled shots, straight up or down or sideways, and it has a notch on the neck for tilting it straight down if you wanna use it for recording something on your table or taking macro pics while stabilized and it’s wonderful. comes with a holder for your phone which is a nice touch and can be partially disassembled to switch the camera to the underside of the tripod for some seriously close-to-subject shots. the rubberized feet grips come off and have spikes for outdoor shoots. I think it’s got excellent stability all things considered in either scenario. Was able to get some amazing pics with a step ladder for near top-down photography on large subjects so, can attest to the full height not affecting stability too much (not sure about outdoor photography in high wind, that’s a ballgame I’m not pitching in.) Definitely can hold some higher weight than starter, cheaper plastic tripods.

It’s got so many premium feeling features and a nice metal, sturdy build to make it a serious photographers leap from stock to something nicer with the looks to match.
-if you for some reason like the stock, cheaper ones, Victiv also has one in the same orange color and look and feel for a fair bit less $ wise and some similar features.

This is one of the best tripods I’ve had and it’s insanely flexible. It is light weight and stands very high.
The only thing I wish this could do was convert to a monopod. For the price, I can’t expect that much but I have recommended this to friends.

I must stress, if you’re looking to get a fairly durable, flexible, good looking tripod, I’d say get this for sure.
HOWEVER, “you get what you pay for” is somewhat true but I also believe sometimes you get more than what you pay for as long as you take care of it.

This isn’t a tripod that should be tossed around so treat this like you would a $500 tripod and things should be fine. I have had zero issues after several month but I make sure I take great care of it.

This has the fluid head and it rotates easily. It is adjustable everywhere, literally. I’ve had some fancy tripods but none where they put this level of detail into.

Meaning, not only can I rotate it for panning shots, but I can also tilt it with ease up and down. The legs of the tripod break down on four parts whereas most tripods break down once. Each section has locks.

I’ve searched and searched, there was no tripod at this cost that does this and looked this nice.
Tripods I searched for at this same cost were plain.

I can’t lie, I want my gear to actually look good to and not just do the job. Yes, image is important when you go on photoshoots or video shoots. Have the latest and the nicest looking makes a big deal.
You dont want your stuff to look outdated.

Bought this to use for my labradar, binoculars and gun (if it would hold it). Works flawlessly! I put a rifle saddle on it and mounted my gun to it (which weighs about 15lbs) and it works just as good if not better than the BOG Death Grip. I chose this brand because of the low price and high quality on another one of their smaller tripods I bought a few years ago and both of them work amazing.

Muy buen producto tanto material como funcional, se siente la calidad al tacto y montando una cámara grande con objetivo grande no vibra ni se mueve
