This set is a very good value. I ordered the 2 pack which each box contained 1 shampoo bottle and 1 conditioner (2 each/ 4 bottles total). Each bottle 17 fl oz (500 ml) and comes with its own pump. It’s packaged in a Viking Revolution box with one bottle each of the shampoo and conditioner. The boxes of product themselves would make great gifts as they are individually sealed. I would be honest and say that the scent reminds me of neither coffee or whiskey but has kind of a musk scent to it that is not overpowering. The shampoo lathers nice and I assume the conditioner works good as my hair feels soft afterwords but I am a bit hair challenged so I cannot attest to it helping with tangles and the like.

This is a three box set of shampoo and conditioner. Each bottle of shampoo and conditioner are 17 ounces each. Both the shampoo and conditioner are about the same caramel color. They are both really thick. They smell like men’s cologne. They are both sulfate free.
The shampoo makes a thick lather and makes my hair feel really clean. The conditioner doesn’t leave my hair as soft as I’m used to from using a conditioner, but it does a decent job of conditioning my hair.

The shampoo and conditioner are both amber in color …they look like the color of brown sugar and penalized in color. Excellent lather with this shampoo and got my hair squeaky clean. All the buildup/sweat/dirt/layers of grime from over 36 hours was easily removed. Even though I’m female I have long thick hair and that’s what I think of when I hear the “Viking Revolution” brand… just men with long hair in braids with long beards. Fantastic scent with both the shampoo and conditioner. The conditioner immediately began to soften my hair and remove tangles as soon as I applied it to my hair. The scent lasted for more than 24 hours and wasn’t too overpowering at all. This makes a great gift for the man in your life. They do have other scents to choose from. Doesn’t take a lot of each product to put in your hair. Good value for the price.

I think there’s a bit of javanol in the scent. It smells really nice. It lightly scented my hair (even after drying) so that every once in a while I get a whiff of it. It’s a really warm and cozy smell, with the tiniest hint of sharp. I didn’t detect any “whiskey” scents. I’m glad because I didn’t particularly want to smell like a drunk! XD
The shampoo lathered well. It was easy to wash my hair and it felt clean afterward. I love the smell.
The conditioner doesn’t detangle very well. It does smell really nice, though. It’s kind of messy in the tub. It sticks to the walls and I have to hose it down with the shower (it’s very visible because it’s brown). It wouldn’t drain with the water and small gobs were left in the tub. Did I mention I like the smell? XD
My hair is dry now and it’s soft and shiny and feels nice. I really love the scent.
The Verdict: I like it 🙂 I’ll probably have to use a different conditioner because I need more detangling, though.

My husband was surprised at how subtly smelling this Viking Revolution Coffee-Whiskey Shampoo and Conditioner. Honestly it’s very sweet and smells more like a french vanilla than any type of pure coffee or whiskey smell. It’s not bad, and honestly a nice subtle smell that’s not overpowering. The shampoo and conditioner are pretty thick and take a bit of movement to get it to lather in the hair. Two pumps is usually good even for short to medium hair. For the price and amount of product and overall quality this is a great alternative if your husband is bored of the usual smells and brands at big box stores.

I’m not sure why it’s called coffee-whisky. It doesn’t smell like coffee or whisky. It smells like cologne and is a very brutish smell. It is very thick so you only need one pump for short hair for both the shampoo and conditioner. The conditioner makes your hair feel smooth.

This is a 3 pack of shampoo and conditioner sets. I didn’t know what coffee and whisky would smell like but having used Viking revolution products before I was confident I’d be happy with the end result no matter what. Because this is a 3 pack either you’re set for the next 6 to a year or more months of shower needs or you can give the other two out as holiday presents and keep one for yourself. Do what makes you happy but I suspect you’ll want to keep all 3 sets. The shampoo is not heavy and washed out very easily. The conditioner didn’t weight down my hair or make it look greasy. I was very happy with both and neither one added time to my shower routine which was nice. The bottles are a good size and come with a pump top that makes dispensing product a breeze. Now for the scent…… well…… I wouldn’t call it coffee or whisky or even a combination of them. I’d more describe it as vanilla with a touch of musk. To be fair VR has a spiced vanilla scent (that I quite enjoy) and this doesn’t smell anything like that but it does have a mostly masculine/vanilla scent to it. This is not a bad thing and the scent didn’t linger long beyond the shower which is nice. If you’re looking for a quality shampoo and conditioner sets from a reliable company pick this up!
